Park snowboards could be better described as skateboards for the snow. In the last few years, jibbing or riding on rails has become increasingly popular. Today, snowboarders demand specialized snowboards for jibbing. These boards are soft flexing, usually twin tip and are very durable. They are built to take the abuse of urban snowboarding and help riders master their technical tricks. These boards are great for rails and boxes, but horrible for speed, powder and off trail riding. Park boards make great secondary boards if you ride other conditions frequently. If your a rider who wants to step it up in the park and is at least an intermediate rider at snowboarding, than any of these various snowboards will progress your technical tricks fast and with ease. You just have to be willing to go for it. The softer the board the easier it will jib, but the stiffer the park board the better it is for jumps. Park boards are not recommended to hit the whole mountain, but more along just riding from the lifts to the parks.
