Boot Review by Mike: My first pair of snowboard boots were Burton Freestyles. These boots have come a long way since I pioneered them. For 2007, Burton added an articulated cuff with power strap support. This will help riders custom fit the boots around their ankle and upper foot. The best thing about the Burton Freestyle boots is the price: they are...

Boot Review by Donald:
So we all know that kids' feet grow like weeds, so why not make a boot that does the same? Well Burton addressed this question with the creation of the Freestyle Kids. There is a removable section of the insole which allows for some extra room when the boots start to get too snug. Also there is a nice Velcro power strap for a nice a...

The Burton Ruler is known to rule the entire mountain. It is a very good boot for all-mountain riders looking for a forgiving comfortable ride. The Ruler has Burtons new streamlined speed zone lacing system for some quick lace adjustment. Burton also added a micro articulating cuff that allows the upper and lower zones to flex independently. The Salomon Symbio is a great boot for the progressing snowboarder. With its mid-soft flex the Symbio will deliver an incredibly smooth ride. If you don't like to lace or tie your boots, this may be your best bet, having the fastest speedlace system around. To lace these all you have to do is pull up on a handle, pretty cool stuff.
The Salomon Vigil sets the standards for a beginner boot. It's got all that a gal starting out needs to stay comfortable, have support and still be able to afford a lift ticket. Lacing up your boots with cold hands is no longer a problem, the Vigil's have a powerlace system which requires no lacing or tying, just a quick pull up on a handle!
