Terrain Use: Speed, Powder, Carving, Backcountry, Groomers, All Mountain
Pros: lightweight, Easy to carve, poppy, Stable at high speeds
Other Thoughts: i dont know where these people get the idea this board is too stiff.. its not a stiff board at all. i was surprised k2 gave it their highest stiffness rating. pretty all around medium to me, and im not a big guy or anything, only 145 pounds on the 158. anyway.. fun board. dont let the term pow rocker throw you off, cause, its not tapered or anything and still rides switch well. its more like a directional rocker freestyle pow board that obviously is still just as good as anything else on groomers and whatnot. fast base, stable, charges pow. rocker is more extreme than most, and is also directional, meaning that the nose rocker is a bit more intense than the tail. holds a good edge. one thing i personally felt was that it rode nicer outside of going slow, so medium to faster speeds at least, but thats not to say its weird or bad when going slow. also really liked the dampening system in the core.. i could feel it over my other boards with regular wood-only cores. anyway... while this is definitely not a pow-only board by any means, its not a twin and has a 1" setback (so 2" really) and isnt quite like a twin or anything. check the turbo dream if you want a higher end rocker from k2 that is a lot closer to twin, but not a noodle like the www. 2010 opens up a lot more options for that though.
