Terrain Use: Half Pipe, Jumps, Boxes and Rails, Speed, Powder, Carving, Backcountry, Groomers
Pros: Heel hold, Comfortable, Easy lacing, Durable, Traction, Good quality, Waterproofing
Cons: Not warm
Other Thoughts: I've ridden these pretty much all over the place from groomers to deep stuff to rails and they have done very well in nearly every aspect. For a medium-flexing boot they give bags of response and plenty of support for nailing bigger landings yet they're comfortable enough to leave on if you want to go and get pissed straight afterwards.
They look and feel pretty durable which is an issue with lots of boots I've had, and the speedzone system appears a little sturdier than the similar Nitro TLS system on my Teams.
The one i would bitch about about is that my feet get very cold and my toes go numb more often than usual. I had the same problem with the Salomon F-series which are also low profile or shrinkage or whatever so I guess less insulation is the price you pay for a smaller footprint (whether you need it or not). I could utilize the heat pack thing which plugs into the liner but to be honest I don't want to shell out that much on top of the boots for a device that will almost certainly ensure all of my friends laugh at me.
For all the talk about fit, well, they fit me great but then I went and tried them on. If your going to pay that much for a boot its probably wise to go and make sure they fit your specific foot shape first.
Killer boots overall.
