Burton Board Lock
Burton Board Lock
2/24/2009

big things come in small packages
Pros: cheap, light, convenient, does the job
Cons: light weight cable is easily cut.
Other Thoughts: I picked this little lock up on sale and boy is it a good insurance item to have. Sure the cable can be cut, but if you want to steal a board are you going to bother having to whip out your leatherman or are you just going to grab an easy treat. Also on a totally different note, be careful leaving your board locked up for over one hour in cold snow conditions. I did this while eating lunch and the little combo discs almost froze in place. I could bare get then to spin to my set combination... boy that would have been embarrassing

Fit: fits fine
Straps: super comfy
oh so comfy
Terrain Use: Speed, Powder, Carving, Backcountry, Groomers, All Mountain
Pros: Adjustability, Easy in & out, Boot hold, Comfortable, Well known brand, Popular model, Easy installation
Other Thoughts: These bindings are the most comfy bindings I have ever been strapped into. Burton bindings gave me leg pains so I bought the data's to remedy the problem. By by leg pains, hello happy days. I can shred all day in these bindings with little to no pain. The toe strap can be tricky, but once you adjust to fit and place in the proper location, the straps work like a charm.

Graphics: awesome
This ain't your mama's ironing board
Terrain Use: Speed, Powder, Carving, Backcountry, Groomers, All Mountain
Pros: Easy to carve, Stable at high speeds
Cons: Top sheet scratches
Other Thoughts: The 09 Custom is an excellent all mountain board. Don't kid yourself, this ain't your mama's ironing board. This is a high performance shredding machine. Kids, it's time to step up to the plate and upgrade. From pow to groomers this board performs excellent for me. The ICS capability is nice if you like burton bindings. Burton bindings give me calve pain so I hooked my board up with some Union Data's. Works flawlessly and I love the pair. Do yourself a favor. If you are an intermedaite rider or are just linking your turns, buy this board you will not be sorry.
