Smith Holt
Pros: I own the adult version, so take this with that in mind... Awesome helmet, fit me well right out of the box but comes with extra padding etc so you can customize the fit for your dome. I have the version with the audio ears, they seem to do a decent job of keeping things warm. Has a nice cover for the chin strap so things aren't rubbing up under the chin. Audio is okay, nice to be able to listen to music and still hear what is going on around you, conversations, other riders coming up next to you, etc.
Cons: The audio cuts out when the cord is jostled which can be a pain, sometimes I find myself futzing with it more than I care to. The helmet itself works great at its purpose - keeping my dome safe and warm. The ear flaps do stick out a bit more than my last helmet, so try it on and be aware that a little wind might sneak in there and bring a hat or something to put underneath just in case.
Other Thoughts: Overall I would recommend this helmet, maybe not the audio unit however (I think all the helmets are compatible for them, thats why I bring it up here)

Fashion Police: comfortable to walk around
Chest: Feels too big
Body: Feels true to length
Inseam: Feels too short
686 UZI jacket
Terrain Use: Backcountry, All Mountain
Good For: Cloudy and Cold, Snow and Rain Mixed
Pros: Breathable, Durable, Waterproof
Other Thoughts: I actually own the UZI jacket in the adult size, but most of this should still pertain... Pros - tons of pockets/places to stash gear, durable feeling material, very waterproof - I was able to weather winter in Detroit with this thing besides my trips to ride, worked great in all conditions, great hood that can work over a helmet, cool pass pocket on the left sleeve Cons - sizing - the chest area and length are big. The arms feel short. I am 6'0 and got the medium. The thumb hooks are relatively useless as a result of the arm length issue, but its still nice to have the extra fabric to tuck into gloves to prevent snow from going up your sleeves Overall - awesome jacket for the price, functional, waterproof, breathable. If you like the baggy look, get this in your reg size, if not consider sizing down

Fit: fits fine
Straps: super comfy
Big Upgrade
Terrain Use: Jumps, Boxes and Rails, Speed, Powder, Carving, Groomers, All Mountain
Pros: Adjustability, Boot hold, Comfortable, Well known brand, Popular model, Easy installation
Other Thoughts: Having ridden my old tech nines into the ground (must have been 8yrs old) I finally got new bindings. The Cartels are of comparable weight, unfortunately not any lighter, maybe a bit heavier, though there is much more tech built into these. The adjustability is endless, frankly overwhelming for someone who rode basic binders for such a long time. But they go on the board just fine and do a good job with their intended use - keeping you connected to the stick. Much more comfortable, though take care with the boots you use, more on that later Gripes/concerns - I was used to bindings that would smash your foot in your boot and keep you tightly locked in - there is more play to this binding, probably in part due to my really old boots. The binding does a great job of holding your BOOT in place, which adds comfort. It does not keep your foot from wiggling in your boot as much as my old models did. So size your boots appropriately. With this being said I never felt as if I had less control or decreased responsiveness from the binding. The highbacks are monsters, watch out for low riding lifts & getting it caught underneath. They are fairly malleable and i really don't have a problem with them digging into my calves, I just keep the forward lean to a minimum, esp the first few times out in the season. The cap strap is rad, helps to maintain circulation down in the toes on really cold days vs smashing them with a toe strap over the top. I have yet to ride this binding for a full hard season, so I can't speak to durability, but I expect a lot from my bindings since my last ones survived for so long.
