Holy crap, Travis and I saw this on TV in the bar last night and could not believe what we were seeing!!
I remember getting pretty physical during some soccer games, but that was some cheap shots she was pulling! I would have let loose if I was on the receiving end of any of that. |

Yes, upon further review, it was done by #15 Elizabeth Lambert.
Of course the media portrays a one sided story which will get most viewers, but apprently, if you watched the whole game, the girls at BYU wasn't that far off. Besidse the whole hair pulling part.

Absolutely. Every one of those is at least a yellow and the hair pulling is definitely a red (maybe the punch in the back, too). The one that amazes me the most is the tackle at 0:32. That's ON THE BALL. How do you miss a player going all Cobra Kai and sweeping the leg? |

Exactly what I said. Even if it wasn't intentional (which, based on the rest of the game, it probably was), that's way too dangerous to not throw a yellow. And it's ON THE FREAKING BALL! How does a ref miss that? |

Caught this from the article. "BYU athletic director Tom Holmoe, in a news release, said Krebs had contacted him after the incident." BOOOO! via Wikipedia "Following Mariucci's departure to the NFL, Holmoe assumed duties as head coach of the Golden Bears' football program from 1997. He was, by his own admission, an unsuccessful coach.[1] During his five year tenure at Cal, he compiled a 16-39 record, including a 9-31 record in Pac-10 play and a 1-10 season in 2001, the worst in the Golden Bears' history. Holmoe went 0-5 against archrival Stanford and failed to reach a bowl game as head coach. It was a really big deal here, because since we don't have any major pro teams, UNM athletics become the focus. all our athletics seem to be going down hill: The football coach beat up his assistant, and the football team is winless, and now this... new mexico is a very messed up place right now |
