ok, so i am going to get into rocker for my all mtn board. to get an idea of how this board is going to be ridden just know that I love to lap KT-22 anyday of the week.
i currently ride a 157 MTX TRice...sometimes i feel it is a little too short, but i don't know if it really is, or if it justs pysches me out that way cause it has the blunt nose/tail.
here is my list of boards that i am looking at. hope to narrow it down, or find the one based on any feedback you guys have from experience or thoughts on how it will ride. probably not going to be able to demo it before i buy it either.
Lib TRS BTX size 159 or 162
Lib Lando BTX size 160
Burton Custom V Rocker size 159
Ride Machete size 160
Rome Notch1985 size 158 or 162 (not sure how long it rides)
Rossignol 'The Jones Experience' size 158 or 163 (think the 163 is going to be too long)
thanks for stopping by.

Hey
Great board .. used to rock the exact same one. The thing about the 157 trice is that it has a long contact length because of the blunt tip/tail 121 to be exact .... you need a 160+ in most other boards to get that same length. If you like riding K22 in all conditions I would steer you to models that have a more free riding (stiffer) profile In Libtech .... the Dark series or trice with C2 BTX In Neversummer ... the Premier R Btx is awesome for freestyle and powder ... but does let you down a little when you are really charging on hardpack .... the new C2 and dual camber tech really helps out here FWIW ... i rode the trice 157 BTX and skate banana 156 all last season ... rocking a 161 C2 dark series for charging and 154 pheonix for park this year |

Gotta say, if you're lapping KT22 most days, id stick with a regular cambered board.
PS - Rome Notch is a tapered freeriding powder board..id knock that one off the list for all mtn boards. |

i really don't want to stay with a cambered board. i rode a little with a demo SB last season and it was a lot of fun. i bought my gf a never summer infinity-r last season and she loves it. so maybe i'll look into the R-C Tech of NS and Lib's C2 BTX. But I reallt don't want the same old ride.
Notch is off the list. I knew it was tapered and i don't know why i put it up there. Got powder on the brain i guess.

haha don't we all..
Of the shapes you listed above, my top two would be the custom V, and the ride machete. The machete is flat between the bindings though (which i prefer), wheras the custom V is rockered between the bindings. I like the R-C tech of NS, C2 of lib, Flying V of Burton shapes the most, I think these shapes provide some of the most versatility for future snowboarding. |
