hey trev,

read your posts with great interest...thanks for your experiences.
is there a reason why you won´t use Fowardit. You´d be saving the sales tax? what are the advantages of shipito compared to forwardit?
thanks,

cheers rob

Hi Rob,

I don't use Forwardit to Australia as they have a deal with some woman here who charges 5% as a middleman, plus uses her own exchange rates, it's more a matter of principal really, why pay 5% to someone who doesn't actually do anything other than forward orders to forwardit for processing!

Forwardit have contracted out their Australian shipments to an Australian woman, so you have to deal with and pay 5% to her, plus whatever exchange rate.  I don't want to pay someone 5% just for the hell of it, when it's not needed.  It'd nice if shipito had an address other than California though, but somehow I'd rather pay the tax than an unnecessary middleman.

Hey Tavy,
You can try using one of the forwarding companies that other international customers have used.
there is bongous.com and forwardit.com

If you have any other questions please let us know.

Try Shipito. There is no "woman" to go through and no additional fees to be paid.

Note to Canadians...

If a product is made in the US, then there should not be any duty assessed by Canada Customs. UPS/Fed-Ex/DHL/etc know this, but they still charge you so that they can make money on their end. Contest the charge by not accepting receipt and by noting this and they should make adjustments.

Hello Charb,
What is it that you were asking about international shipping? Was this about your question a few post back about  if we ship to the United Arab Emirates? If so, yes we do. All our countries that we ship to are posted in the first Post of this thread. If you have any more questions please view the first post and if you do not see your question please post, email (help@sierrasnowboard.com), Private messag, or contact us through live chat.

depends on the form of shipping you select. Our shipping times are listed on every product page under the shipping tab, international shipping times are near the bottom. Depending on what you select it can take 2-10 business days.

Hey Guys.

I'm thinking about buying an Burton snowboard and bindings.
Maby also boots a pants and gloves (depends on shipping costs.)

After reading this thread I'm thinking about using the forwarder www.shipito.com to send it to the Netherlands.

Q: How can I insure my package? Maby it will never arrive..?
I'll probably choose Fedex as delivery company.

Q: Does sierra put small items like gloves in the same as my bindings box or is packed separately?

Thx in advance!

Hi, my 1rst order with sierra just turned to be a lot more expansive than i thot! My order total was $257 + $89 shipping and i paid 177€ (~ $260) of taxes, obviously that is not correct, i phoned UPS and they overcharge me, when i asked why they claim that sierra failed to specify in the invoice the shipping charges!!!

besides that, one of the items is damaged, i email sierra 3 times and the only reply i've got was asking me to send a picture of the damaged item that i've done even before thay ask, then sent another email with a picture (again) without reply.

Have two questions, can sierra ship items with USPS register international? Cause in my experiance customs+taxes are much lower.

Can Sierra arrange for a pickup to exchange the damaged item? and fill in the paperworks so when it arrives i don't have to pay for taxes again! cause a repair/exchange don't pay taxes but involves some paperwork!

One last thing, how can i change my username? :D

Regards.

Hey Guest 167417,
We have responded to your email and I am very sorry for the delay.

The shipping charges not being listed on the invoice is a new thing that just came up and thank you for letting us know. We are having some one working on that.

If you would like to change your name send me a private message and let me know what you would like your name to be and I will be able to fix it for you.

I suggest looking into http://www.BongoUS.com as we will be able to consolidate all your holiday purchases into one shipment to Russia.  This will greatly reduce the cost of shipping to Russia.  Feel free to PM me if you have any questions.

Hi,
On the final step of the check-out, it says: "All 2010 Burton, GNU, & Lib Tech product must be shipped to a U.S. shipping address."
Does that mean that I can buy 2009 Burton products and get them shipped to UK directly?

Just wanted to say thanks to Sierra and Bongo. I ordered Burton board and bindings, it got to Bongo within about 3 working days then to my doorstep in UK after about another 4. Held up at airport, but didn't have to pay any customs so didn't mind. FYI, took about week & half door to door.

Must say Bongo was pretty pricey at £100 (UK), but with Sierra and their awesome prices it still worked out about £100 cheaper than if I bought in UK ...how can the UK sites/shops justify double the price of US??? Example: 2010 Burton Dom, UK £460, SS £240. Wacko
Sierra forever for me!

ps. Bongo, you offer a great service and I know you're cheaper than other companies but I think you should cut your prices/offer discounts for all us great Sierra customers! Tongue

Thanks again!

Hey CHris,
It might be that you are leaving the State field blank. Just enter GRE in that spot and it should work for you. If you are still having troubles i can test it my self, just send an email to help@sierrasnowboard.com with your ailing address and the items that you wish to purchase.

I was checking the different websites that you are mentionning here.I would be interested in using a forwarding company. Shipito seems to have good prices but someone knows if they can check if the product arrives in good condition before sending it to me? if they do that it would be definitely great. Thanks!

They do and the good news... it's free! The freight forwarder I used before didn't want to be responsible for the content of my package... They wanted me to pay $5 fee just for that!

Just order them straight from Sierra, they can send them straight to you, and despite all claims to the contrary their freight rates are very, very reasonableBig smile.  They'll be at your doorstep in around 4 days on Fedex.  It's worthwhile ordering a couple of extra bits and bobs like shirts etc as they don't increase the freight cost by much at all.  The way it works is there is a Consignment Charge, this is fixed maybe about $50 or so, then you pay freight on top of that.  The boots would cost you maybe $60 shipping, adding a couple of shirts or whatever will only add another $5 or 10 on top of the $80. I got one boots, two bindings and a pile of shirts etc for $100 shipping.

The only difficulty is with shipping current year Burton, GNU, Lib Tech Gear, you need a shipping service for that, I use shipito.com...

Too easy!

Yes, you may request that they open the package before forwarding it on to you. They are even willing to take a photo and send it to you so that you can see the condition of your purchase.

Yer im wondering the same question because in checkout this message appears

All 2010 Burton, GNU, & Lib Tech product must be shipped to a U.S. shipping address.
( so does that mean 2009 stock can be shipped????? )

Also it said shipping was 50 bucks for board and bindings, jacket helmet, pants

Is that correct also? Absolutely love sierra if it is

I have a question about shipping to Canada.  Since my shipping options are now FedEx only, I'm wondering how brokerage fees work.  I can't find any definitive information on FedEx's site regarding it.

Are there any brokerage fees on FedEx Ground?  and/or FedEx International Priority?

Thanks

Yep guys, I shipped some 2009 burton stuff straight to Australia, and yes the shipping IS cheap, bloody bewdy I reckon. Not getting bandicooted by some shipping companies!  You don't want to know what some certain shipping company charged me for a wheelie locker that never arrived, but I do wish they'd used vaseline...Angry

No duty if the total is under A$1000, but don't tell anyone so you can flog them stuff and cover your freight!Clap

I have a question about shipping to Canada. Since my shipping options are now FedEx only, I'm wondering how brokerage fees work. I can't find any definitive information on FedEx's site regarding it. Are there any brokerage fees on FedEx Ground? and/or FedEx International Priority? Thanks

*bump

Wondering the same?

You need your stuff to be sent to Russia? As it was mentionned earlier by YEN10 why don't you use shipito? They can send your order to Russia.

I'm so frustrated that you don't have Ukraine in the list of countries that you are working with... You have almost all our neighbours, it's just not fair :( what service can I use to ship goods to Ukraine?

Unfortunately because we do not ship to Ukraine we also cannot accept your Credit Card because we do not have the country listed in the drop down.
