Nordica Ski Company was founded in 1939 by Adriano and Oddone Vaccari as a footwear company. It later became a skis, boots, and bindings manufacturer in 1950. The company is known for its high quality boots and excellent skis that had, until recently, been extremely fast downhill racing skis. However, Nordica has added a freeskiing line and now sponsors such newschool skiing icons as Peter Olenik, John Orarback, and Rory Bushfield.
