"the force is strong in this one..." 2/25/2009
Helpful Review?   (10) Yes    (2) No

  • Name: 2009 Union Force
  • Skill:  Intermediate
  • Pros:  Adjustability, Easy in & out, Boot hold, Durable, Good construction quality, Lightweight, Comfortable, Well known brand, Popular model
  • Fit:  fits fine

Experience:   i have ridden a plethora of different bindings over the year, and i finally came to the conclusion this season that the force is the single greatest binding i have ever owned, hence converting my entire quiver to union binders. basically, 200 bucks for this binding is the best way you can spend your money, which is the case with union in general (take the cadet DLX for example). the force is a killer medium-flex binding that performs great for any type of riding. i ride everything. when im shredding hard on the big mountain terrain, theyre great. when im jibbing somewhere, they kill it. theyre held back by nothing, and wont hold you back either. very adjustable.. heel cup, toe ramp, mounting disk, and straps, all come together for the perfect fit, centered boot over the waist of your board, and micro width adjustments, all at the same time. hard to find these days. very durable, a tad on the lighter side (not that weight matters) and killer durability. union also uses some amazing materials that no one else uses.. theyre very innovative.

Experience:   One thing that is abit annoying, depends really on how u ride, but I find that the binding screws come abit loose so at the end of everyday make sure ur tightening them. Other then that A-Class, good in the park and mountain.

  • Pros:  Adjustability, Easy in & out, Boot hold, Durable, Good construction quality, Lightweight, Comfortable, Well known brand, Popular model, Easy installation

Experience:   Everything you need and nothing you don't. Lifetime warranty, hard charging carving performance out of the box. No wonder the FORCE is Unions most popular model year in and year out. This binding should come with Guaranteed Satisfaction Warranty. Cause that's what you'll be should you purchase this bad boy.

"In Case You Needed Another 5 Star Review" 4/25/2009
Helpful Review?   (2) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2009 Union Force
  • Skill:  Intermediate
  • Pros:  Adjustability, Easy in & out, Boot hold, Durable, Good construction quality, Lightweight, Comfortable, Popular model
  • Cons:  Tricky instillation
  • Fit:  fits fine

Experience:   Awesome bindings. They absorb impact very well, so if you land short of the jump, you won't hurt your knees on the flat. Very smooth and easy to carve - super responsive. Toe caps are super sick, great design that is so comfortable, you forget they are there. Ankle straps can be sore if over tightened, but are well padded are also very comfortable. A little difficult to adjust initially, but once you get it set, it'll be the best pair of bindings that you'll keep coming back to. Bottom line: The best bindings you can get for under $100 - if you can find them in stock that is!

"One of my fav pieces!" 10/28/2008
Helpful Review?   (2) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2009 Union Force
  • Pros:  Adjustability, Easy in & out, Boot hold, Durable, Good construction quality, Lightweight, Comfortable, Well known brand, Popular model, Easy installation
  • Fit:  must be adjusted smaller

Experience:   One word - Quality. Now some more words - magnesium ratchets, lifetime warrantied base plates, bomb proof, HELLA AWESOME, these bad larries let you ride hard and fast and keep you under control of your board! These are my fav bindings by far. *Note* I said they need to be adjusted smaller because I'm a girl - but they fit perfect after moving a couple pieces.

"Union is #1 hands down." 11/10/2009
Helpful Review?   (1) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2010 Union Force
  • Pros:  Comfortable, Durable, Good Looking, , Responsive yet freestyle focused, Lightweight, , Priced Well
  • Cons:  To many people own green forces now.,

Experience:   Ive ridden this binding several times now paired with several boards and against all conditions and it has always left me and my bank account smiling. The binding is lightweight and cushy and freestyle focused but still responsive and great for free riding. If you want a binding that is good for everything on the mountain and will make your feet happy this is the best one out there. If you look at bindings that are similar in performance like the burton cartell your paying a minimus of 50 dollars more than you need to for a binding that you prolly wont be as happy with. Ride Union, the company that makes binding and focuses on making them better for a better price.

Helpful Review?   (1) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2010 Union Force
  • Pros:  -mid flex, -easy adjust, Comfortable
  • Cons:  none so far.,

Experience:   I picked up a pair of 09's to give union a try. It's a pretty solid binding, but nothing spectacular. Not as responsive as my cartels, but comfortable and easy to adjust. Mid flex, and I do like the straps, they are easy to adjust and the toe cap works well. All in all a pretty solid all mountain or park binding.

"The Bombproof Binding" 11/7/2009
Helpful Review?   (1) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2010 Union Force
  • Pros:  Super Adjustable, Practically indestructible, Solid

Experience:   Where do I start? I ride mainly Freestyle, but will also ride all mountain on occasion, and this binding excels at both. It is highly adjustable, you can move the heel-cup in and out letting you get your boot perfectly centered on your board (which most brands do not let you do) These bindings allow for a wide range of forward lean adjustment, go from no forward lean for the park, to lots of lean for your all-mountain shredding. I have put around 60 days into mine, and they are still kicking, only thing I had to do was tighten the heel-cup bolt as it got loose once. Let me put it to you this way, if your picky about how your bindings feel, and love to tweak your setup, this is by far your best choice.

Helpful Review?   (1) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2010 Union Force
  • Pros:  Greatest binding ever, Very durable, Sweet colorways, Works with many terrains, Incredible

Experience:   I'm already on my second pair, and would be on my third if I found out about these binders earlier. They are, hands down, bar none, the best bindings I have ever ridden. I have yet to meet a person who has ridden them and told me they didn't like the forces. I dare you to try.

Experience:   Im all about Forces one of the most comfortable bindings i have ridden but still nice and responsive. Incidentally I did manage to break the ratchet on one of them whilst giving it some. I emailed Union and they replaced the part straight away no questions asked. One of the people I spoke to at their EU distribution centre was Joni Makinen. Sick

"2009 -Great Park bindings" 10/22/2009
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2010 Union Force
  • Pros:  Soft comfortable straps, Good adjustability, TALL highbacks
  • Cons:  Toe cap slips,

Experience:   I first rode these bindings in the park here in Minnesota and they were very comfortable. They apply a little bit of pressure on the ankle but its not uncomfortable. I like these bindings for rail because they provide alot of lateral freedom. You can really tweak out your presses. Unions have a small surface contact area so it doesnt inhibit your boards natural flex and you can definitely feel it. overall good bindings

Slashing pow-cool!, booters-cool!, doing some jibnastics-Cool! These bindings do not disappoint and are well worth the $200 investment. No question.
