The Special is one of my favorite boards. The ERA tech allows it to ride torsionally soft so you don't have to fight your board at slower speeds like many high-performance sticks. But it also stiffens up the board as you ramp up your speed and exert more force on the raised ERA spine of the board. The result is a super versatile, poppy board that'll satisfy both aggressive riders and folks who just like to cruise around.
