This model offers an entry-level skier a big step up in performance over the typical "cheap" ski package. The Siam 5 provides growing room for someone getting their first pair of shaped skis (or maybe first pair of skis period), while giving an intermediate on a budget something with some versatility. The aggressive shape promotes effortless turning at slower speeds. The ski has a fairly broad footprint and enough torsional stiffness to give low to mid level skiers a great performance value. This model was not available to test. An average sized woman would choose this ski in the 154 length. A larger skier or more aggressive intermediate would probably prefer the 159. This ski is available in 134 and 144 cm. Lengths for smaller or very cautious skiers.

Binding: The Scrambler 5 is a fully integrated system using a lightweight platform and the C609 binding. This light platform system provides lift allows a natural ski flex that is uninhibited by the boot/binding interface.
