Sierra Says: The DH is one of Ride's signature snowboards and has been an anchor in their lineup for years. This is the board of choice for many of their pro riders because of its ability to cover all aspects of freestyle riding. With a flex that is soft enough for jibs, yet powerful enough for the biggest jumps, the DH can easily handle any park feature as well as nature hits around the mountain. Carbon fiber is found throughout this board to increase pop, while Slimewalls keep impact to a minimum. Because this board is still fairly user friendly, any confident rider with a passion for freestyle will appreciate it.

Ride Says: Upholding the status of this award-winning twin, the DH features Pop Stixs for the perfect flex with added ollie pop. Complete with 85A Slimewalls and Cleave Edge for a durable, smooth Ride. Continuing to be a favorite Darrell Mathes and Marco Feichtner, this deck is sure to stoke out the park/jib guy and launch riders to the next level of mobility. Now offering this reputable Ride in wide!

  • Pros:  very good flex, stable at high speeds, has good pop
  • Cons:  top sheet scratches,

Experience:   i got the 2009 one and the graphics are sick!! when youre going fast the slimewalls dampen the vibrations and feel very nice. also the pop stix are very noticable when going on boxes or off jumps and landing. it has the perfect flex for me. you can still do jibs and it will still be very stable at high speeds

  • Pros:  Flexy, Poppy, Forgiving

Experience:   I bought this board as my second board ever. I was looking for a lightweight flexy twin and I got it! I'm 6'1 285 lbs and got a 159W which works perfect with my size 14 boots. The biggest surprise with this board was the slimewalls. They are so forgiving, that it really helped me progress my riding. The graphic is amazing and the ride is great. I would recommend this board to anyone.

"Ride DH 2009" 1/24/2010
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2010 Ride DH
  • Skill:  Intermediate
  • Use:  Carving,Groomers,High Speeds,Off Trail,Powder
  • Pros:  Forgiving, Loving, Loyal, This board rocks in every sense.,

Experience:   Okay I know this is about last years board but I only just road the 2009 model for the first time.(Size 155) What can I say.... this board exceeded my expectations in a huge way. On piste, carving is no problem at all, it doesn't chatter at high speeds and catching an edge is almost none existant.Riding Switch is also really easy on the twin shape. I went offpiste a few times and while it is not meant for deep powder it still handled it fine. Just had to keep the nose out as much as possible but once going it ate it up. A good all round board, no complaints. I did a few small jumps on this board but nothing freestyle. Ollies and Nollies were sweet, really poppy. If you are looking for a board that will allow you to progress your style and quickly.... this is the board for you. No regrets here.

  • Name: 2010 Ride DH

  • Use:  Groomed,High Speeds,Park,Switch Riding,Ungroomed
  • Pros:  High speed, cuts down chatter, pop
  • Cons:  rough on ice,

Experience:   I've had a ton of other boards and have mashed tons of mt's and this is the best all around board. The slime walls totally cut down the speed chatter. The pop on this board is more noticeable than last years DH. Its a dope all around board. Highly suggest buying this board.

"real fun board to ride" 12/5/2009
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2010 Ride DH

  • Use:  Butters,Groomed,High Speeds,Jibs,Jumps,Low Speeds,Off Trail,Switch Riding,Ungroomed
  • Pros:  Good feel, great pop, very durable wax absorbent base
  • Cons:  little rigid for butters not bad tho,

Experience:   This is my favorite board to ride. Tru twin, great pop, light weight. Love the ride base material very tough and wax absorbent makes for an easy scrape. If you like to ride the whole mountain but spend a good amount of time in the park this purchase is a no-brainer.

"Fun" 9/20/2009

  • Name: 2010 Ride DH
  • Skill:  Intermediate
  • Pros:  Light, lots of pop,
  • Cons:  if you don't like soft boards that might be a con.,

Experience:   I've ridden a dh this season.... bought it second hand and it was a bit short, but it's still been kind to me even in pretty high speed. I find it great for playing around with, poppy and light and follows you where you want to go. I reckon I'll stay with this board for a long time.

"Another average park board " 8/27/2009
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (1) No

  • Name: 2010 Ride DH
  • Skill:  Intermediate
  • Use:  Butters,Jibs,Jumps,Low Speeds,Switch Riding
  • Pros:  Twin, Fast Base,
  • Cons:  Pricey, Flacid,

Experience:   I have ridden this snowboard numerous times and never am I impressed. This board doesn't really do it for me. I mean its not a bad board, but I feel there are better boards out there in the same category and price range. The main issue I have with the DH is the dull flex. If I am riding a freestyle board that isn't buttery soft, I expect some decent pop. This board just feels kind of dead to me... not soft but not snappy. I also am not a fan of the slimewalls personally.... I like a little more boardfeel and this one is too damp for my preferences. I think if you are into park/freestyle you might want to give this a try. Just because I am not the biggest fan doesn't mean you wont be.
