Palmer says: Featuring FLF shape design with limited edition art by Nat and Mickey Woolley, the new Palmer P04's represent what big mountain skiing is today. Designed for backcountry and deep powder conditions, the P04's twin-like FLF shape provides maximum flotation plus quick maneuverability in tighter situations. Coming in two lengths with at least 95 mm under foot, the running surface is plenty big for powder days and great for the rest of the mountain too.

Name: 2009 Palmer P04 Big Mountain Twin
Pros: Flys Down the Mountain with ease, Great Floatation in Powder, Manuevers well through trees, and tight spots
Cons: Longer Turn Radius ,

Experience: Last season I only had the chance to demo the Palmer P04's once, but that one time was enough to make me fall in love with them. The day I took the P04s out was an insanely deep powder day is Steamboat Springs, CO and I couldn't have been happier with my choice of ski for the day. All day long my friends and I were getting untouched powder lines and with the P04s I was getting some of the best face shots that I have ever had. What makes them such great powder skis is that with their beech/poplar construction they flex unbelievably well, which makes powder riding much funner. Also with this continuous it makes them very responsive so you can take them into the trees without having to worry too much about them being on the wider side. What really made me like the P04's so much is that when we did have to get back on the groomers to make it to the lift they felt really solid and stable, which I liked because alot of powder skis feel real chattery and squirly on-trail.
