Sierra says: One of the most high-intensity freeride boards in existence, the Palmer Crown continues to push the limits every year. A combination of Nomex Honeycomb, Carbon Fiber Reinforcements, and Titanium Inlays, this board takes no prisoners. It is very stiff and aggressive on all types of terrain. We recommend the Crown for the experienced adrenaline junkie who has not yet met his match.

Palmer says: Titanium-powered and Carbon Fiber energized accelerations in our exclusive FLF shape will hold an edge on anything and it's unreal in powder. Titanium and carbon work in combination like a bow: the more energy in the more energy out. The legendary Palmer wood core with Nomex Honeycomb in the tip and tail delivers the lowest swing weight with exceptional response in the cap sidewall construction. New lacquered top plus 3D metal logos give it that high end sports car look.

Name: 2009 Palmer Crown LE
Skill: Advanced
Use: Carving,Groomers,Powder
Pros: Easy to carve, Stable at high speeds, Strong edgehold, Stiff
Cons: Too stiff

Experience: I have last year's model. The board is really stiff which is a good thing for carving but took me some time to get used to. It's shape makes it surprisingly easy to turn yet it performed well in powder and groomers. I cannot really say it was any better or worse than other boards on ice, I still lost my edges from time to time.
