"Low profile laptop bag" 7/12/2010
Helpful Review?   (1) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2010 Gravis Metro
  • Pros:  Numerous compartments, Compact size , Padded laptop sleeve
  • Cons:  Unlaminated zippers,

Experience:   This is a fairly well-built pack with padded laptop sleeve and a whole host of zippered compartments that each have a number of organizing dividers. It's basically a commuter bag for someone who needs their laptop and electronics accessories with them - ipods, cameras, memory cards, power cables, and the such. It's very useful for organizing a lot of small items, and by keeping the main compartment tight, the whole package is slim and low profile. On that same note, this bag isn't ideal if you have a lot of bulky items to carry. Gravis says its volume is 25L, which is about 1500 cubic inches (the unit that most backpacks quote their size in). To give you an idea of the size, the smallest backpacks that Jansport makes (those generic-looking ones) are 1500-1900 cu in. For a day's worth of textbooks you'll want something closer to 2500 cu in.

"Pretty Solid" 4/5/2010
Helpful Review?   (1) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2009 Gravis Metro
  • Pros:  Sturdy, Lots of Pockets, Good Padding
  • Cons:  Main compartment could be bigger,

Experience:   There are tons of pockets on this thing! Great padding inside and out. Zippers seem pretty beefy. This won't carry a lot of books unless they're thin, so you've been warned. But it has great construction and a solid build. I'm happy.

"Cool backpack" 8/8/2010
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2010 Gravis Metro
  • Pros:  Design is great, Laptop compartment, Lots of space
  • Cons:  Bigger than what I anticipated,

Experience:   This is a great bag for hauling around gear. Originally I purchased this bag to take gear up the mountain with me as something that would fit a jacket & fleece. However, it's a lot bigger than I thought & actually makes a great gym bag. I can pack it full of a change of clothes & sneakers - AND I'll still have space. I'm sure it will be excellent to travel with as well. Totally well worth the price.

"Still a great buy" 7/7/2010
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2010 Gravis Metro
  • Pros:  price (was cheaper though!), durability,

Experience:   Saw this a while ago when it was a steal at 75% off, but it's still a great buy at this price. Works well as a commuter or school backback with colors that aren't flashy enough to deter use as a work pack.

"if you need a backpack..." 4/10/2010
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2009 Gravis Metro
  • Pros:  steez, laptop pocket, comfortable

Experience:   get this one. I picked up 2, one in stuntman and one in green. The laptop pocket is nice since I take notes on my laptop at school plus they look awesome. I use one for school and the other for anything else like plane trips as a carry on, a gear bag when I'm going to the mountain, a bag for a short hiking trip, whatever. It can do it all and look good doing it.

"awesome in black" 3/27/2010
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2009 Gravis Metro
  • Pros:  easy access computer compartment, cool interior electric blue in the black model,
  • Cons:  none yet!,

Experience:   The laptop compartment in this thing is sweet. it even has a strip of stretchy material sewn into it that gives it some shock absorbance when you set down the bag. This is now my new travel/airline bag! The laptop compartment is ideal for when the TSA forces you to take out your laptop for the xray.
