Sierra Says: The Park Pickle is a new true twin banana styled park board that has a very unique geometry to it. There is a specific side to place your heels onto, no matter if you are regular or goofy. This is because the board has a deeper sidecut on its heel-side edge and a more gradual sidecut on its toe-side edge to make up for the different way your heels and toes work your turns. When riding this board it's ideal to have a duck footed stance (equal angles for both feet) so you have more control and balance when working on your various park tricks. With a sintered base and a soft-medium banana flex you will be able to charge up to those bigger kickers in the park, and also butter o... More »

"can't beat the PICKLE" 1/26/2010
Helpful Review?   (2) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2010 GNU Park Pickle BTX
  • Skill:  Intermediate
  • Use:  Park,Powder,Switch Riding
  • Pros:  Asym Sidecut for easy switch riding, more pop than coke factory, butters for longer than you can stand
  • Cons:  Top layer cracks easily,

Experience:   I bought this board over the summer, and I had to sit and look at it for 4 months...longest 4 months of my life. I've been riding this board all season, and I've loved every minute of it. Our season opened up with 2 feet of fresh snow so I got to take my fresh pickle out into fresh pow, and experience everything it had to offer. I was not use to a rocker bottom, which really floats on top of powder. I can lean back on my pickle and butter until I get dizzy. The rocker base also makes it easier to land sketchy spins. The asymetrical side cut has helped my switch riding, and I havent caught my edges on any boxes or rails. The ONLY downside is that my topsheet has cracked a couple times (stickly cosmetic damage) but its nothing a clamp and epoxy can't fix. My park pickle was best purchase I've made

"Go the Pickle Power" 6/14/2010

  • Name: 2010 GNU Park Pickle BTX

  • Use:  Boxes,Jumps
  • Pros:  Fast, Poppy, Park King
  • Cons:  None,

Experience:   I purchased the Pickle last year after demo'ing a burton fix. The pickle performed better then any other board I had ever riden. It was forgiving on landings and still fast over most of the mountain yet poppy enough to hit every feature in the park. I have no doubt inrecommending this board to any level rider!

"PICKLE POWER!!!" 12/30/2009
Helpful Review?   (1) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2010 GNU Park Pickle BTX
  • Skill:  Intermediate
  • Use:  Butters,Groomed,Jibs,Jumps,Off Trail,Ungroomed
  • Pros:  poppy, responsive, kills it in pow

Experience:   The MTX took me a little while to get used to. I compare it to hitting the gas pedal on a new camero when you're used to flooring your old Buick regal. But once you get a feel for it you never wanna go back. I just started riding park and have been mostly using this board for all mountain which it can totally hang with. The poppiness is so much fun! There's been days where i've hit some wind lips with super sketch landings that my old board could not have handled. Instead of eating it I always end up riding out clean. AWESOME board, definitely a catalyst in progressing my riding. My only con is what someone mentioned earlier, I hit a branch on my first day out and flaked off some of my top plate. Strictly cosmetics but still notable.

"Don't be fooled, the PICKLE is great for ALL MOUNTAIN!" 5/2/2009
Helpful Review?   (1) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2010 GNU Park Pickle BTX
  • Skill:  Intermediate
  • Use:  Boxes,Groomers,Jumps,Powder,Rails
  • Pros:  lightweight, Easy to carve, poppy, Stable at high speeds, Popular model, Strong edgehold, Great value, Popular on mountain
  • Cons:  Sluggish

Experience:   I don't think I've been on a board that was easier to ride. The Pickle really does it all. REALLY REALLY WELL. It takes a run or two to get used to the asym sidecut but after that everything just flows. It's pretty awesome. It's soft. Softer than the TRS and Riders Choice, but not as soft as the Skate Banana. The base is sintered but It's not that fast. It's pretty poppy and surprisingly stable at higher speeds. Banana-tech helps you float through powder. My only wish is that it was shorter (156 was my only choice) I might have to trade it for the 153 next season.
