Same proven Mervin sandwich construction, Aspen core, easy to ride biaxial glass weaves, CX 2500 low maintenance base and rugged UHMW sidewalls on twin shapes. Magne-Traction puts the control under your feet. Magne-Traction makes snowboards simpler and easier to ride. Easier riding snowboards are more fun! Carbon beams feature New Magne-Traction .75, a special smooth riding formula.

Name: 2008 Gnu CHB Wide MTX Second
Skill: Advanced
Pros: Durable, Easy to carve, Stable at high speeds, Strong edgehold, Great value
Cons: Too stiff

Experience: love this board, got it 2 years ago and ridden it about 30-40 times so far, still in amazing condition and rides smooth over everything, groomed, ice, powder, slush, that crappy ungroomed bumpy stuff.

Name: 2008 GNU CHB Wide MTX
Pros: An intuitive and fun ride with a shallow learning curve allowing beginners and intermediates to progress.
Cons: The CHB has a relatively small stance width range

Experience: The Gnu CHB magnatraction turns ice into powder. Seriously. I rode this snowboard in firm conditions and soon realized that my friends were jealous. None of them had magnatraction and were therefore riding ice while i was riding powder. I like being envied.
