Sierra says: The CHB MTX is one of the best all-mountain freestyle progression snowboards. The soft directional twin shape offers great versatility when riding and makes edge to edge maneuvers simple. Magne-traction pulls this board together to deliver great edge grip and an easier way to pre-load off kickers. It is not too aggressive, so any level rider can enjoy and progress their tricks with this board.

GNU says: Every board in Gnu?s best selling line is hand-built in the USA by snowboarders in the world?s most environmentally friendly snowboard factory. Proven sandwich construction, aspen core and directional twin geometries. Danny Kass started on a Carbon High Beam. This is a great freestyle board for new traditionalist snowboarders of all levels.

  • Name: 2009 GNU CHB MTX Second

  • Pros:  Durable, Easy to carve, poppy, Strong edgehold, Great value, Well known brand

Experience:   Extremely sick graphic. Favorite design on any board. Picked up the Second and have yet to figure out where the blemish is. Holds a mean edge, feels great. Looking forward to another season (or more!) on it.
