Dynastar Legend Pro Rider Skis
Item # : A8250 |
Year : 2008
Jim Says: The LP is really two different skis within one model. The 176 size is quite a bit softer in flex than the 186. While the 176 is still firm, it is manageable for any good skier looking for a wide all mountain ride. The 186 is a different deal altogether and is a lot stiffer. This is the size that built the reputation of the LP into "Legendary" status among agressive skiers everywhere. The LP in both lengths provides a solid ride in powder and is the class leader in crud and rough snow. The LP also makes a great GS turn on firm groomers as well. This is not an ideal ski for moguls and intermediates looking for their first powder ski could find easier going choices. The LP is made in a 194 but we don't carry that size as the wider PRO XXL is more popular in that size. Dennis says: The Legend Pro Rider returns with a graphic change for 2008. Built like the Legend Pro XXL, the Legend Pro Rider has bombproof construction that can suck up the worst conditions out there. The conservative shape makes for a nice predictable turn shape. The Legend Pro Rider can float in the heaviest of Sierra cement, bust crud without deflecting, and arc turns if need be on the groomers. At 5'9" and 170 pounds, I found the Legend Pro Rider in a 176 to have that stable laminate feel. On a test run, I was able to cut through some heavy Sierra chop at Lookout Mountain at Northstar. **Note this ski is sold flat, bindings are not included** Binding Suggestions: LOOK PX 15 (8-15) or PX 18 Racing (10-18) ![]() ![]()
