Dakine Viper Glove Reviews (2 total)1/29/2008 ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Pros: Low profile, excellent palm grip, handy nose wipe thumb, pre-curved fingers... As much as I try to rotate between all of my gloves, I can't help but to keep wearing my Vipers! Even on dumping Pow days, I can't seem to throw on an over-glove when I have my Da Kine Vipers in my bag. I don't need to take them off to use my phone, iPod, or walkie. They keep me warm enough in our great Tahoe weather!
Cons: They are pipe gloves, so occasionally they'll feel wet because they aren't waterproof, but the materials used don't hold onto moisture.
Other Thoughts: I'm going to pick up another pair of these Vipers because as great as my Burton Spectre gloves look, they don't keep me as warm as my Da Kine Vipers!
1/15/2008 ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Pros: Great pipe/ spring gloves, plenty of grip and the Viper Velcro system hold up pretty well. Keeps my hands warm even when snowing and in powder. Thin enough to work ipods and answer phones with removing the glove.
Cons: After a little over a month, probably 15 rides, the stitching on the knuckles has started to come apart. The Viper system does fail when it gets too cold and/ or snow gets into the Velcro.
Other Thoughts: I wear these gloves all the time, snow or shine. My only setback it that they are already starting to fall apart.
