Burton Says: Already kitted with endless adjustability and total freestyle awareness, the EST un..inc gets upgraded with the NEW CantBED, the next evolution in underfoot cushioning. Canting creates a more natural stance position by tilting your feet inward, allowing you to bang your stance out wider without busting your knees the un..inc-ers, Jeremy, and Jake swear by it. When its lights out, the Soul Glow graphics will leave hallucinatory trails as you fly down the mountain.

**These bindings will only work with boards that have ICS in the product name**

"Feed the Pig, go Un Inc" 2/24/2009
Helpful Review?   (1) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2009 Burton Uninc EST
  • Skill:  Intermediate
  • Pros:  Adjustability, Easy in & out, Boot hold, Durable, Good construction quality, Lightweight, Comfortable, Well known brand, Popular model, Easy installation
  • Cons:  Tricky instillation
  • Fit:  fits fine

Experience:   In the world of bindings, the Cartel have stood the test of time and proven day in and day out why it's the binding of choice for pros and local hero huckers. At any giving mountain you'll find almost anyone wearing a set. That said, I have used Cartels and love them. Lightweight, made sturdy and responsive, everything I look for in a binding with the added extra of being comfortable. Now why in the hell am I talking about the Cartels you ask? Well simple, this years Un Inc Bindings are the 09 Cartel ESTs, only with the CantBed and CO2 ankle strap. How does it feel you ask? Well great if you ask me. The highback is dialed down compared to years past Cartels thanks to the canted highback and dial FLAD, mean a little less forward lean but still with the great response. Also the CantBED gives you the option to go wider and still feel comfortable. A bit of advice though, if you happen to be a size 10 you my want to try out a size Medium before trying out a Large. Now for the warning, Cartels are never going to please everyone mind you, forward lean might scare a lot of people for whatever reason. But if you like to go big, go hard, and just plain go, then check out the 09 Un Inc Bindings, you won't regret it at all. Oh yeah added bonus, they glow in the dark, yeah that's right they glow in the dark!

"Nice Solid Bindings" 4/6/2009
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2008 Burton Uninc EST
  • Skill:  Intermediate
  • Pros:  Adjustability, Easy in & out, Lightweight, Well known brand, Easy installation
  • Cons:  Uncomfortable
  • Fit:  fits fine

Experience:   This is a good set of bindings. Not as comfy as others I've used, but it's nice enough (pressure points only felt when not riding, disappear when ride on it, kinda weird). The EST binding angle integration is great though. I was able to constantly tweak out the angle until I found the best setup for my riding. Very good feel for the board, but not quite soft enough for landing on jumps. It felt quite harsh. Even though the binding was soft feeling, but the feel of it was stiff and harsh. So it took a while to get used to this in-between feel of soft and harsh. Overall, I like the binding. If it had been softer for landings, it would def. have been something I would prefer. But performance wise, it's good at taking it all mountain and doing what you need w/ it. I rode it in groomers, park, and powder, and it held up well in all conditions. Response was also good, just not as instantaneous as some other bindings. It's good overall, just need some tweaking w/ comfort and feel.

Experience:   EST bindings are the way to go...so much more versatile than the old/ordinary kind. I love the way I feel connected to the board, and these do not hurt my feet no matter how hard I crank them up...something that I cannot say about other models of bindings.

"Burton Un..Inc EST ... Glowing with Greatness" 3/9/2009
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2009 Burton Uninc EST
  • Skill:  Intermediate
  • Pros:  Lightweight, Comfortable, Well known brand, Popular model, Easy installation

Experience:   The Burton Un..Inc EST is an upgraded version of the well known, well respected Cartel binding. With upgraded ankle straps and the NEW CantBED (foot beds slightly angled toward the opposite binding), the Burton Un..Inc EST is a binding loaded with features, adjustability, and style. Plus, they glow in the dark. Take these bindings anywhere on the mountain, and bask in happiness as they shine (literally *wink*) on any terrain you can throw at them. This is the last year for Burton’s Un..Inc line of products, so snatch a pair of Un..Inc EST bindings and the matching board before they disappear forever. These bindings are EST, so they will only work with Burton boards that feature The Channel (ICS). (EST and ICS is a snap to setup and dial-in)

Experience:   When looking for the ultimate board, it is hard to stray away from these bindings and their board counterpart. They are an awesome combo that can slay the entire mountain, no matter what the conditions are like. And with the EST feature, you can change your stance at lunch, in the evening, and right before that last run easily. Excellent bindings!!

Experience:   This is great binding to go with instead of the Cartels if you are into the concept of cantbeds. I really like the way they feel. Especially useful if you like to take on a wider stance. Felt really good with my duck stance.

"Burton Bindings are are top!" 2/12/2009

  • Pros:  Adjustability, Easy in & out, Boot hold, Durable, Good construction quality, Lightweight, Comfortable, Well known brand, Popular model, Easy installation
  • Fit:  fits fine

Experience:   These bindings are really light. They are comfortable and well designed. They fit my old Northwave boots perfectly but my 32 Primes are a little snug around the heal. They will work though. I would make sure your preferred boots fit in the the bindings before buying. I have narrow feet so I don't like Burton Boots. The heal is a little narrow on there bindings. That said Burton makes great bindings and the est system works really well. The canted footbeds make them even more comfortable. These are really similar to Cartels only they have a few upgrades. The straps and the footbed are the upgrades. I have an 08 uninc board and these bindings and the setup is super light. Also the new cap straps do not slip like the old ones they remain tight and secure. These are among the best bindings on the market. The only con is that there is only one color choice.
