Sierra Says: After making an awesome first-impression last year as a late release model, the Hero enters its sophomore season as a must-have item for any freestyle enthusiast. Equipped with Burton's exclusive V-Rocker and a softer flex pattern, this board is a blast on any park feature. Any intermediate or advanced rider will appreciate the Hero's playfulness in the park and its effortless carving-ability around the resort.

Burton Says: The Hero will change you forever. It will make you do things, bad things, nasty tricks that you thought were impossible. Its secret is a three stage rocker design that adds buttery Scoop tips and vice-like grip of Pressure Distribution Edges to an already ridiculously forgiving and nimble package. Slash pow, smoke the pipe, lock into rails, and uncork tricks that you never considered trying- this board is like a bike pump for your balls.

"hero wide ltd" 10/3/2009

  • Name: 2010 Burton The Hero
  • Skill:  Advanced
  • Pros:  dope, good for it all, butter knive
  • Cons:  N/A,

Experience:   i have the hero wide limited 155.(same thing just looks different) so i took my new wood down to the jibyard ........an indoor park just the other day, and as for the board i didn't have the option to give it any jump testing. but railwise the shit is tight.you can get extra nice presses ,and with board-slide's it pops right to that cuppage you'd expect from regular camber. it spins smooth, feels great on the feet, and the ics/est system is genius. however, i thought at first the bindings were a bad choice...but after some excessively easy adjustments they turned out to to be a killer combination.

"Hero, SuperHero in disguise?" 11/11/2009
Helpful Review?   (1) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2010 Burton The Hero
  • Skill:  Intermediate
  • Pros:  Soft Flex, Burton's V-Rocker, Catch-Free
  • Cons:  Same as every other Reverse camber board, Less stable at high speeds,

Experience:   The Burton Hero dominates the competition in the reverse camber field. With Burton's v-rocker, this board board floats fairly well in powder, and is catch free on the groomers. The soft flex makes this board super fun in parks that focus on jibbing. Like all Reverse Camber (RC) boards, the hero suffers from unstableness at higher speeds, but deals with it considerably better than the majority of rc boards out there. If your a jibber looking for a quiver killer, definitely take a good look at this board, if your into all-mountain, or spend you time in the pipe, or a super-park fan, I'd go straight to Cambered boards, you'll find a much more stable ride there. But If you want one board to kill them all, at least take at a look at this bad boy.

Helpful Review?   (1) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2010 Burton The Hero
  • Skill:  Intermediate
  • Pros:  felt awesome on boxes and rails, flex is sweet, good pop
  • Cons:  bad for high speed races,

Experience:   I have the hero ltd 155. overall sick board if your looking for a park board. it's nice for jibs rails boxes of any sort. locks in on the right spot on rails just like you'd expect from a camber board. pretty good for jumps. catching an edge is difficult to do on this board if you know what your doing. overall awesome board.

  • Pros:  fun, forgiving and versatile,
  • Cons:  no way,

Experience:   I rode the Hero for the majority of last season. I had so much fun on this board, that even on demo days I had a hard time testing new equipment. From park to powder. Never a dull moment on this stick.

"Fun for some" 8/27/2009
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (1) No

  • Name: 2010 Burton The Hero
  • Skill:  Intermediate
  • Pros:  Holds an edge well, Easy to press, fairly good all mountain
  • Cons:  mainly excels in park and groomers,

Experience:   Conditions: groomers and park The board held an edge well. It was easy to spin but I did not love the board immediately. After a few runs the board was more to my liking but still gets put on the shelf for the custom vroc. I rode the 152 which is about the mid-range for a park board for me. I usually ride 148-154 depending on the day. I like the hero but there are no real changes from 2009. The board is a lot of fun and can be used all over the mountain.
