Sierra Says: One of Burton's most revered models, the Mission fulfills a variety of duties and can be applied to many styles of riding. Freestyle riders will love its medium-soft flex and mobile design while taking laps through the park, while less experienced riders will appreciate that same forgiving feel when carving down groomed runs. When you think about it, it's pretty obvious why this is by far the most popular binding in its price range.

Burton Says: This binding can do 1260s. Actually all bindings can, but the Mission does them when strapped to riders like Shaun White and Peetu Pirroinen. If that's not enough to get you on the Mission, consider the forget-it's there fit of a new, even lighter weight hi-back complete with on-the-fly MicroFLAD adjustability. Super cush EVA baseplate and hi-back cushioning and pillowy soft straps keep you comfortably connected no matter how hard you're hammering.
- RESPONSE: 5
- BASEPLATE: Single-Component 30% Short-Glass/Nylon Composite
- HI-BACK: NEW Ultra-Minimized Single-Component Hi-Back with NEW MicroFLAD
- STRAPS: Superstrap and Primo Capstrap
- BUCKLES: Smooth Glide Buckles
- CUSHIONING: EVA Baseplate Padding
- Features Re-Ground Materials in Baseplate and Hi-Back to Reduce Waste

Sierra Says: A great all around binding, the Mission is perfect for anybody who wants a great binding without spending a grip of cash. Both oddly strong and super comfortable, this binding can be enjoyed by just about any level of rider.

Burton Says: Tricks stomped, mission accomplished. A no nonsense destroyer, the Mission is for the shredder who's riding whatever, whenever - instead of working overtime to buy some blinged out binding. While the competition's crying "uncle," the Mission keeps dropping hammers with premium performance at PBR prices. With the forget-it's-there fit of the Team Skyback and new Superstrap - get the freedom to float, spin, and stomp; with the comfort to lap the lifts 'til last call.

"Missions rule" 3/25/2009
Helpful Review?   (3) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2009 Burton Mission
  • Skill:  Beginner
  • Pros:  Adjustability, Easy in & out, Good construction quality, Lightweight, Well known brand, Popular model, Easy installation
  • Fit:  fits fine

Experience:   If you're a size 10, don't get the medium sized bindings as you'll be on the last notch on the strap. Go for the large size, you'll be happy you did.

Wish I read your comment before I bought the mediums. Definitely go with large for size 10.

  • Pros:  Adjustability, Easy in & out, Good construction quality, Comfortable, Well known brand, Easy installation
  • Fit:  fits fine

Experience:   I have a size 10 thirty two boot and the large is great on it. If you dont adjust it, the binding will slip off the boot, but this binding has unlimited adjustments to make it fit for your boot and style. The wtf color is perfect with my forum substance board and stands out among the rest. Awsome bindings for 160 bucks and even better for 90

Helpful Review?   (1) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2010 Burton Mission
  • Pros:  Easy to make adjustments, Well known brand, Light

Experience:   I've owned other bindings before, but Burton Missions binding is pretty cool. You can make adjustments to your straps without a screwdriver, just need to spin the little round thing on the strap. The bindings are light weight and are easy to install.

"2009 Burton Mission Bindings" 11/7/2009
Helpful Review?   (1) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2009 Burton Mission
  • Pros:  Affordable, Good Construction, Easy In and Out
  • Cons:  Very Basic,

Experience:   These are good bindings especially for beginners or intermediate riders just looking for basic all-mountain bindings to slice and dice the hill with. Quick in and out of the straps have you going on your way in a flash. And they are both responsive and forgiving enough to let you handle varying snow conditions. That said, they don't have all the features of the higher level (more specific) bindings. They are a good place to start, and when you figure out whether you want to ride park and need flex with a soft stomp, or you need stiff with quicker edge to edge transfers to aggressively race down the hill... you can then choose what higher (and more expensive) binding is right for you. All round binding that can't be beat for the cash. In my opinion, they're better than the customs. Enjoy!

  • Pros:  Looks sick!, Light., Heavy duty.
  • Cons:  My capstrap screw came off but that was not the, bindings fault.,

Experience:   I just bought these bindings in black and they are amazing. They seem really heavy duty so they wont get banged up but they are also pretty light. Honestly the best bindings ive owned and they are great everywhere.

  • Name: 2009 Burton Mission
  • Pros:  Inexpensive
  • Cons:  None,

Experience:   So far my Burton Mission bindings have performed flawlessly. Great adjustability, flex, and feel. These are the bindings I learned to Snowboard in and they suited that application perfectly. I have moved up to the Burton Cartel and to be honest the cheaper Mission bindings seem to be just as good. And easier to ride with.
