Burton Mission Snowboard Bindings 2010

Sierra Says: One of Burton's most revered models, the Mission fulfills a variety of duties and can be applied to many styles of riding. Freestyle riders will love its medium-soft flex and mobile design while taking laps through the park, while less experienced riders will appreciate that same forgiving feel when carving down groomed runs. When you think about it, it's pretty obvious why this is by far the most popular binding in its price range.

Burton Says: This binding can do 1260s. Actually all bindings can, but the Mission does them when strapped to riders like Shaun White and Peetu Pirroinen. If that's not enough to get you on the Mission, consider the forget-it's there fit of a new, even lighter weight hi-back complete with on-the-fly MicroFLAD adjustability. Super cush EVA baseplate and hi-back cushioning and pillowy soft straps keep you comfortably connected no matter how hard you're hammering.

"Mission binders, for the simpleton in mind." 12/29/2009
Helpful Review?   (3) Yes    (1) No

  • Name: 2010 Burton Mission
  • Pros:  Lightweight, Easy to install,
  • Cons:  Highback rotation, cap strap!,
  • Flex:  mid

Experience:   The 2009 Burton Mission binding Is excellent for the beginner rider who wants a cheaper, easy to use binding. I bought mine in the White colorway on sale this fall on the cheap from Sierra. Pros: The bindings are extremely simple to use, the straps adjust easily, they attach to your board without hassle, and the highbacks rotate with ease. The forward lean adjustment of the highback is also extremely easy to use, although it requires removing your boot from the binding in order to adjust it. These bidings are very light, as they are fully made out of plastic. The plastic is very strong and does not get brittle at cold temperatures. The ratchets are full metal with a plastic puller and stop. Cons: The cap strap on these bindings do not fit the cap of the boot very well, although they hold the boot in none the less. The caps of your boot get “shredded” when these straps are on, partially in my opinion due to the fact that the cap strap might be moving around a little. The highbacks were not the easiest to adjust to become parallel with the heel edge of the board, as they would keep slipping back to the original position they were in when I was trying to adjust them. Once they got into place and were tightened down they performed admirably. The highbacks were hard to put into the folded position for a day or two, but they eventually worked themselves in and are now a little stiffer then when they were in the standard position. All in all I love these bindings and recommend them to beginners and experts alike. Looks: 10/10 Price: 10/10 Performance: 9/10

"Decent bindings" 3/3/2010
Helpful Review?   (1) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2010 Burton Mission
  • Pros:  feather weight, adjustable toe ramps, responsive, compatible with 3 hole and 4 hole patterns,
  • Cons:  cap strap, time consuming to adjust,
  • Flex:  mid

Experience:   bought these early this season and the cap strap keeps moving on my toes even though they're centered and snug. I have Burton Freestyle boots so I didnt think there would be a problem. The other thing I dont like is you have to completey remove the screws to set them back/forward. Some other bindings you just have to loosen the screws. Performance wise, I like my bindings to be light and responsive and this does the job good enough.

"Great for the price" 3/3/2010

  • Name: 2010 Burton Mission
  • Pros:  Easy to install, Easy in and out, Comfy
  • Cons:  Foam started peeling off,
  • Flex:  mid

Experience:   This is a great binding I used it for a few days. It is a very simple binding that has everthing you need and nothing you don't. They come in great colours. They were very comfy and I like the toe strap. The only con I have is after three days of riding the foam started coming off around the hi back and around the heel. Still great for the price!

"Nice and Easy" 11/10/2009
Helpful Review?   (1) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2010 Burton Mission
  • Pros:  Easy to make adjustments, Well known brand, Light
  • Flex:  mid

Experience:   I've owned other bindings before, but Burton Missions binding is pretty cool. You can make adjustments to your straps without a screwdriver, just need to spin the little round thing on the strap. The bindings are light weight and are easy to install.

Experience:   this was my first pair of bindings i've ever owned and i absolutely loved it. it gave me great feel on the mountain and super easy to put on and off on the slopes. haven't had any issues with it what so ever and there's quite a few options to customize your ride that come with it. if you're looking for something in the midrange then i highly recommend it

"SSSSSSeriouslllyyy... sick" 8/9/2010
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2010 Burton Mission
  • Pros:  Solid- Keeps Foot Planted, Easy Adjustment on MTN, Looks Saucy
  • Cons:  High Back Angle Adjustment,
  • Flex:  mid

Experience:   Missions = Great! i have two sets, each set on a different board. Decently Priced for the capability and the camo/ black color scheme matches well with my boots. My one annoyance with the binding is the high back adjustment. Even at 17.5 Degrees, the high back interface with the body gets totally tweaked and its hard to get everything snugged up afterwards.

"great binding" 6/17/2010
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2010 Burton Mission
  • Pros:  good price,
  • Cons:  hi-back screws come loose easy,
  • Flex:  mid

Experience:   good binding for someone on a low budget who doesnt want to fork out for co2's etc.. they're not cheap but are just as functional. never had any problems with durability. these things seem to really take a beating. you have to remember to always check the screws on these things, they come loose just by tilting the hi-backs up and down but no biggie
