Sierra Says: The Burton Mission has been around for so long and has been super popular since the day it came out. The Mission is the original park and pipe binding of choice being soft enough to butter around and packing enough power to stomp some big landings. This year the Mission got some new fancy straps on it that will adjust without tools and the new toe strap with some extra grip for more power. The Mission is a choice binding for the freestyler that doesn't need a plethora of bells and whistles.
Burton Says: Seriously these are a steal. Only you don't risk jail time. Terrain Uses

Pros: Easy in & out, Boot hold, Well known brand
Other Thoughts: I put these on a Burton Custom and never ran into any real problems. I mainly used this for all mountain riding from carving to doing some fun racing with some friends and i never had any problems with responsiveness. For the price they're hard to beat.

Other Thoughts: These are the best preforming, most comfortable bindings I have ever used. They look sick and preform even better. These make me want to try the higher end Burton bindings as they may be even better. Only thing I can say negative is that the teeth on the bindings straps are starting to get worn down a bit.

Other Thoughts: I really like these bindings and how adjustable they are! You have a huge range of adjustments so you can get that perfect fit on your boot. I went from Ride LX's to these and it's a WORLD of difference! They are plastic, but it's quality plastic and it can handle a beating. Somehow I broke the two baseplates on them (hard fall on a kicker I'm guessing), and I called up Burton customer support and they were super easy to deal with and got me new parts in less than a week!

Pros: Adjustability, Easy in & out, Good construction quality, Lightweight, Well known brand, Easy installation
Other Thoughts: This is an awsome binding ESPECIALLY for the price that it is at.
The only con that I had with it is that the screw for one of the binding straps came out when i tried to tighten it a lot. Although it only happened once so far (owned for two seasons now), it was still annoying going around the whole resort in search of a screw driver. Now i learned my lesson and carry one of my own.

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Terrain Use: Carving, All Mountain
Pros: Easy in & out, Lightweight
Cons: Boot slippage
Other Thoughts: Burton never ceases to make good bindings, at this price its a steal.
Quality material on the straps (leather or synthetic, not too sure).
The foam on the highback tears/ deteriorates after a while, could use better materials.
The design is clean, and nothing too fancy for those wanting a low key binding. I wouldnt suggest this for more advanced riders as it seems more geared toward beginners, love the toe cap!

Other Thoughts: Toe cap gave me problems, but after a few runs, I got it adjusted and dialed in just right. After that, I had no problems with these bindings. Definately pick these up if you're looking for a good binding at a great price.

Cons: Uncomfortable
Other Thoughts: to get the good response out of these bindings, you have to tighten the straps ALOT. they dont have any padding in the straps so thats not very comfy. but they are very responsive and have lasted me almost two seasons with absolutley no problems. solid bindings

Cons: Poor adjustability, Boot slippage
Other Thoughts: Takes some time getting the toe cap right but can ride fine with it loose. You just have to watch the high back and put them down. I haven't had a problem but could see where one could come up. Been riding these binding for over a year and haven't had one problem with them.

Pros: Adjustability, Easy in & out, Durable, Good construction quality, Well known brand, Popular model, Easy installation
Cons: Boot slippage
Other Thoughts: Cap strap slips out sometimes. For a size 10 boot the binding needs the maximum adjustment. Other than those issues, no real concerns for the price.

Straps: not very padded
![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Terrain Use: Jumps, Boxes and Rails, Carving, Groomers, All Mountain
Pros: Adjustability, Easy in & out, Durable, Well known brand
Cons: Heavy, Boot slippage
Other Thoughts: The mission is exactly the product you pay for. It is not expensive so its a great deal for a first binder. The cons is you get what you pay for. The boot slippage was the most annoying thing ever. The toe cap slips right off but it is still a decent binder for the price.

Other Thoughts: I own the last year model of the missions and the bindings are amazing. It was affordable but at the same time great quality. The only problem I had was that occasionally the toe strap wouldn't hold that great. For example I would have to fix it every 2 runs or so.

Other Thoughts: GREAT BINDINGS!!! keep your boots in snug when tightened up. cap strap is bomb. much more comfortable to ride in than any other bindings I've had. only problem is the foam on the highback got jacked up real quick, but easy fix with some glue! for the biggest problem thats pretty minor

Other Thoughts: Good binding for this price. A bit soft for my needs since the whole binding was composite, but worked fine for what i needed it to do. Only gripe was the high back rotation warped the high back connections instead of actually rotating it. But I'm an +15/-12 duck. All together takes a licking and keeps asking for more.

Other Thoughts: Bang for buck. That's the Burton Mission. It's the binding I bought for my first setup and it's lasted quite a long time. The feel was more responsive than the Flow and Ride bindings I've used. Can't go wrong with it. Seriously.

Pros: Adjustability, Easy in & out, Good construction quality, Well known brand, Popular model, Easy installation

Other Thoughts: Good bindings...only problem I've had is that sometimes I'll wipe out and the capstrap will come up. Rachets are very easy to use, unlike my Betas...easy in, easy out.
5/6/2008 ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Pros: great response, great value, great control, very comfy
Cons: the toe strap move around sometimes...but not too bad...
Other Thoughts: over all, i think it's the best binding in it's price range
2/20/2008 ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Pros: Straps have similar padding to those of more expensive models, sick hold, easy ratcheting, easy to butter on and flexy enough for play. Fast adjustments. Sturdy as hell.
Cons: Cap strap sometimes slips up on my Burton Freestyles, maybe I'm just not doing it right. Converted the cap strap to just a normal strap and its all good.
Other Thoughts: Won't be buying a new binding for a couple years!
2/9/2008 ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Pros: great binding for every riding level great straps and very cheap
Cons: there a liitle small only get a med if you have 8 or 9 sized boots my 10s where too big
Other Thoughts: great binding need to get them
1/16/2008 ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Pros: I also have 3 pairs Missions (Black Chrome/gun metal grey/pancho villa). They are a great all around binding. They work great in the park and all over the mountain. The straps are super comfy especially the ones on the pancho villas.
Cons: I had some problems with the foam on the high back as well. A little super glue fixed it though.
1/16/2008 ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Pros: I dig the toe caps.
The backs work well for me(The 07 cartels had to much lean).
Fully adjustable.
You won't find a better binding at this price.
Cons: None so far.
Other Thoughts: Buy some!
1/15/2008 ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Pros: super lightweight binding with decent ratchets and tons of room to mess with. These bindings are super ajustable on all fronts.
Cons: I have not found any yet
Other Thoughts: for the price these are the greatest around
1/15/2008 ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Pros: Light, quick to buckle up. Excellent control with toe strap. Keeps foot pushed back in binding. Perfect flex for carving and freestyle.
Cons: Foam on back of highback could be better quality and more durable.
Other Thoughts: I have 3 sets of these and they are terrific.

you just ordered today? -- ah --- well if it's already out then you'd have to return and order a new one ---- otherwise, there is still a chance that they don't have it out yet, you could talk to someone in the morning and see if it's not sent out yet and then exchange ----- i'd call in the monring, but i would guess it's fine to bring in your returns and order the new one from there. althou the online inventory is diff from the store inventory so i dunno if that would matter in your case ------ does it say ups has shipped out yet thou? ------- because if it's just billing info recieved that means ups doesn't have it yet -------- click on the 'my account' tab in the top right of your screen --------- click on 'track now' for your order, then track again ---------- you should get a page with a tracking number ect, and then look to see what the package status is ----------- if it still says 'billing info recieved' that usually means that they still have it in the warehouse ------------ and then you'd be able to switch by just talking to them ------------- hm. yeah im not sure then, usually it says origin scan then departure scan when it goes out -------------- i still think your best bet is to call them when they open in the morning --------------- 10am pacific ---------------- yeah hopefully they can get everything straightened out for you ----------------- but i mean it's ok cuz nothing new will happen between now and morning ------------------ no problem good luck Guest
