Burton Freestyle Snowboard Bindings 2010

Sierra Says: The Freestyle is usually the first binding we recommend to new riders. It has been around forever and has been getting the job done since day one. Its soft, friendly flex is essential for the novice because it enhances control and limits unwanted response. This same design has also made it a favorite among park riders who need a buttery binder to tweak out tricks. One new component added for the 2010 season is the Team Skyback, the same highback that brought the Cartel to fame a few years back. Burton also threw in the new Adaptastrap toe strap which can be used either as a capstrap or traditional over-the-toe style. But, the best thing about this binding is you get all these features at a price anybody can afford. Guaranteed if you ask some of the best riders today what binding they started with, a majority would say the Freestyle.

Burton Says: With two decades of destruction to its credit, the legendary Freestyle proves that price means nothing when it comes to perfection. Picking up where the competition's so-called "premium" bindings bite the dust, its soft, forgiving flex is a dream in the park and makes stomping new tricks a cinch. Full adjustability makes for a perfect fit, while wall-to-wall EVA padding and the added heel-hold of the NEW Adaptastrap creates comfort that just won't quit.

"Solid Straps for the Money" 1/5/2010
Helpful Review?   (4) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2010 Burton Freestyle
  • Pros:  Solid Fit, Adjustable Front Strap,
  • Cons:  Front Strap Slips Easy,

Experience:   So I purchased these and reversed the bindings so the clips are on the inside. This makes them much easier to reach for people with bad backs or short arms. They are performing well but the toe strap does not really perform well as a toecap. It is prone to slipping and has sent me spilling down a hillside. Still when worn conventionally these are great for the money.

"Good binding for the price" 2/4/2010
Helpful Review?   (1) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2010 Burton Freestyle
  • Pros:  Price, Good starter binding,
  • Cons:  Very soft,
  • Flex:  soft

Experience:   These are a very nice beginner binding. I have had no issues with reliability or anything breaking. The Freestyles are a very soft binding so intermediate and advanced riders will most likely want a stiffer binding.

"Perfection" 2/2/2010
Helpful Review?   (1) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2010 Burton Freestyle
  • Pros:  Soft Flex, Great for beginners, CHEAP!!!
  • Cons:  not the best binding out there,
  • Flex:  soft

Experience:   These bindings are for beginners warning if you are very good do not buy these bindings. But if you are starting out they are perfect bindings for the entry level guy. But also if you just want great cheap bindings that will take you down the mountain or off that jump buy a pair of these and get shredding.

"good value for money bindings" 7/28/2010
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2010 Burton Freestyle
  • Pros:  good flex, good build quality, value
  • Flex:  mid

Experience:   great simple but effective bindings. quality was a lot better than i expected for the price but then again given it is a quality Burton product shouldn't have been too surprised. gf is using them on her Palmer board, using a 146 board and have these in S with size 7 women boots. can't go wrong for the price for a Burton product
