Burton boards with the Channel System do not ship with Retro Disks. You will need to call Burton for a free set at (800) 881-3138.

Sierra Says: The 2010 Dom has been renovated to meet the increasing demands of today's park riders. After gaining much praise for the V-Rocker on last years Hero, Burton decided to apply a similar technology, called the Party Rocker, to their flagship jib board for the new season. This shape is essentially a three-stage rocker, with zero camber between the bindings and rockers that lift the tip and tail completely off the snow. The product of this is a playful, easy to manipulate snowboard that literally butters itself. Another upgrade is the addition of the Channel mounting system, which will give you more stance options and a truer, more consistent flex than ever before. We highly recommend the Dominant for any level of park rider with a passion for jib features and small kickers.

Burton Says: The Dominant, with our NEW Party Rocker, is all about stacking new tricks. Zero Camber between your feet focuses control and creates a "loose-trucks" feel. Subtle rockers lift the tip and tail, giving you power to press with He-Man strength while reducing your risk of rag-dolling. The street-tuned Rail Ready edges seal the deal in your quest to stomp moves that haven't even been named yet.

  • Name: 2010 Burton Dominant
  • Skill:  Intermediate
  • Use:  Groomed,Low Speeds,Park,Switch Riding
  • Pros:  Nearly catch-free edges, great landings off jumps,
  • Cons:  146 size is not the dark blue pictured--it is , really the light blue,

Experience:   This board is designed as a park board, but works very well on blue groomers also. I tried it on a steeper black run and it did not do as well, feeling too soft for that. For this reason I think it would work very well for a beginner learning groomers and intending to become a park rat. Works great for everything in the park, and my jumps and landings have improved. I put Molotov bindings on it and the combo works great. If you are into color matching-- the Blue Flame color matches the light blue board perfectly.

  • Use:  Boxes,Jumps,Rails
  • Pros:  great edges, smooth ride, light

Experience:   Just took out this board for the first time yesterday and it was my first time ever snowboarding. The conditions were really icy and wet and this board still worked amazingly. When people say this board isnt for all mountain, they are completely wrong trust me this board works great on just about anything. I couldn't be more happy with this board.

  • Name: 2010 Burton Dominant

  • Use:  Boxes,Jumps,Rails
  • Pros:  Easy to ride/learn on, Very tough edges, Great for park
  • Cons:  Pretty stiff (for me), Griptape on top gets scratched by bindings,

Experience:   I've been riding this board since it came out. I have to say its a great board to start out on. It made my learning experience pretty easy and when I started getting better on boxes and what not it held up great. The only complaint I have with it is that its not as flexible as I'd like it do be for nose/tail presses. Since the years have gone by as well I'd definitely go for a new board.

  • Name: 2010 Burton Dominant
  • Skill:  Intermediate
  • Pros:  Well built, Great graphic, Pre-tuned edges
  • Cons:  You can't stick stickers on it, Heavy,

Experience:   I got this board on a great deal last year and rode it a few times. It isn't as buttery as I thought it would be but then again, this is a mid level board. I love how well built it is and it can definitely take a beating. It holds and edge just fine and it fun to ride around. This is definitely a park board and doesn't do well at all in powder. I tried the pipe with it and it was just too heavy compared to other boards I have.

  • Pros:  buttery, very flexible,

Experience:   I tried my friends dominant on the mountain for a few runs. This thing was so flexy compared to my 08 burton blunt. It was so easy to butter and free riding wasnt that bad either. It performed best at the park, rails jibs and jumps.

"Great Board For Great Price" 6/10/2010
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2010 Burton Dominant
  • Skill:  Intermediate
  • Use:  Boxes,Jumps,Rails
  • Pros:  Soft, Durable, Cool Design

Experience:   My friend has this board, and he let me test it out for a day. It was a great jibber, and I had a great day in the park with it. It was nice on the trails, but it was so much better than my board on the rails and jumps and everything in the park. I am planning on getting a version of this board, because it was great and I loved the feel of it.

  • Use:  Butters,Jibs,Jumps,Low Speeds,Switch Riding
  • Pros:  Very flexible,
  • Cons:  Can't handle fast speed,

Experience:   After using this board a majority of my last season, I can finally write a unbiased review of this board since it came back in stock. First off, this board is super soft/flexible noodle board so you can only imagine how easy butters are. Jibbing is easier also due to the park scoop feature, and jumps are also better. But becareful trying to bomb a black diamond on this thing if you can't handle your balance well

Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2010 Burton Dominant
  • Skill:  Intermediate
  • Use:  Boxes,Jumps,Rails
  • Pros:  awesome flex, jibbing board,
  • Cons:  speed wobble,

Experience:   This board is built for park. It has every feature that you would ever need to slash the park. It has burton's park rocker design allowing you to press with ease and lock into rails. Along with all the added features, it has a pretty cool graphic. The base is sintered vision which means it will absorb wasx well and the graphic will be poppy. This board is loaded with rail ready edges so you dont catch an edge on a box or a rail. The only problem you might encounter while using this board would be speed wobble at high speeds. I would recommend this board to beginner and intermediate riders.
