Sierra Says:
The Burton Dominant is and has always been one of the most seen boards in every terrain park. This year's graphic brings back classic skate style. Burton designed the Dominant to play in the park. Every aspect of the Dominant's construction helps snowboarders do tricks on rails, jumps, etc. We recommend that you are very confident riding every aspect of the resort before you start trying tricks in the terrain park. Go slide some boxes, go have fun, go on the dominant.

Note: The Dominant Slick has recessed edges, making it less likely to catch on rails and boxes. However it doesn't hold an edge on snow worth squat.

Burton Says:
With this kick ass thrashmaster in your arsenal, nothing is safe from your wrath of terror. Suburban spots, stairs, ledges, and launch ramps---the Dominant brings the feel of riding a skateboard to everything the shred gods grace us with. The best thing about the Dominant is that the edgeless Slick lets you pull tricks on jibs that are otherwise un-rideable.

Terrain Use: Jumps, Boxes and Rails, Groomers, All Mountain
Pros: Easy to carve, Popular model, Popular on mountain, Soft, Well known brand
Other Thoughts: Amazing board for anyone looking to get into freestyle, but still wants to rip up the entire moutain. I kinda got tricked though, thought the 156 was blue...it was purple. Lol the board was still amazing though.

nice board
Terrain Use: Half Pipe, Jumps, Boxes and Rails, Groomers, All Mountain
Pros: Durable, lightweight, poppy, Popular model, Strong edgehold, Great value, Popular on mountain, Soft, Well known brand
Other Thoughts: i cant totally rate this board because i havent riden it yet. It looks hot, and i can tell is flexible. Shipping sucked though, it took 3 more days than it was supposed to and came in slightly damaged[ there was a large scratsh on top and some chiped paint along the edges, but the train it was on derailed so i kind of understand, they should protect it a little better though]. all tougether a pretty hot board. cant wait to ride it.

Park Monster
Pros: Nice Soft Flex but as long as you get the right flex it is still stable. Tears up boxes and rails, and very stable in the air. I have never ridden a better park board in this price range. In the short time I have ridden it I think it has maybe even progressed my riding a bit.
Cons: A little bit of vibration can be felt in certain snow condidtions mainly hard pack or ice but the board has performed well on groomers and in slush.
Other Thoughts: I have ridden it 5 times now and have no problem shredding up my michigan ski resorts but if you ride on mountains you may not want to use this exclusively. If you want a good park board but dont want to spend 600 dollars on a pro model then this is the board for you.

Burton Dominant 2008
Pros: The Dominant’s soft flex makes jibbing and nose/tail presses a thing of ease. The soft flex will also save you from sketch landings on park kickers, and the Dominant’s twin tip and centered stance will make landing switch easier than you ever imagined. Plus the middle of this park slayer has been stiffened, so the board can be taken outside of the park to enjoy a few groomers after you’ve dominated every park feature. The mid-wide waist of the dominant is also great. A guy like me, with size 11 feet, can rock a 150 CM (251 mm) or even a 146 (245 mm). A shorter board = Easier spins! The skateboard art is amazing ! And the griptape topsheet is unique…Plus it eliminates the need for a goofy stomp pad (unnecessary weight).
Cons: The Dominant is a park specific board. You won’t be doing serious all mountain riding with this soft flexing board. This shouldn’t be the only board in you quiver…But it makes a addition to your growing quiver, and ever quiver needs a great park board. This is it!
Other Thoughts: Bottom Line: If you spend the day in the park, or your local mountain is more of a large hill and you want to turn the entire resort into a park (I’m a Mid West rider…This is my plight), the Burton Dominant is for you!
