Sierra Says: Adding a fresh twist to a classic board, Burton has answered the people's demand for a definitive, all-mountain, reverse camber snowboard. The new Custom V-Rocker features the same rocker design that brought the Hero to fame last year, but with a stiffer flex and slightly more aggressive feel. This board is meant to be ridden anywhere from the park to the powder and will be best enjoyed by the strong intermediate or advanced rider.

Burton Says: We've remixed the master with the game-changing feel and effortless control of V-Rocker. Add souped up edges, a softer flex, and slightly wider waist width to the mix and you get a stick that's precisely engineered to crank unbelievable turns, land more tricks, and add amplitude to your ollies. From jumpers to jibbers, pow slashers to cruisers- this is without a doubt one board that everyone will have a blast on.

"Best All Around board I have ridden!!" 9/9/2009
Helpful Review?   (4) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2010 Burton Custom V-Rocker
  • Skill:  Beginner
  • Use:  Boxes,Groomers,Jumps,Powder,Rails
  • Pros:  Stable at High Speeds, Kills it in the Park, Super easy to press
  • Cons:  graphics are kind of lame,

Experience:   I first demoed this board in Tahoe in size 159. I immediately fell in love with it! I rode it all day long through the park and then through some pow as it started dumping. It took everything I threw at it and was wanting more. I was able to press the 159 with incredible ease. Hitting jumps with it was as smooth as glass. It also handled the chop quite well. Well after returning from tahoe I was SOLD on this board. I was able to pick one up about a week later at the burton demo sale in Denver is size 156. I spent all of April and part of May riding it. It was amazing. The more time I spent on the board the more I loved it. It helped me increase my confidence in the park. I can also tail press this thing about 3 feet off the ground. I am a fairly big guy at 6ft 210lbs and I felt right at home on both the 159 and 156. I have ridden a decent amount of reverse camber boards including the original skate banana, the 2010 skate banana, burton hero and joystick. I can say without a doubt this is the best reverse camber board I have been on. If you want one of the best boards ever produced pick up a custom V-rocker.

"that'll do pig, that'll do" 8/27/2009
Helpful Review?   (2) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2010 Burton Custom V-Rocker
  • Skill:  Intermediate
  • Use:  Boxes,Groomers,Jumps,Powder,Rails
  • Pros:  Very stable at high speeds, great shape, looks great
  • Cons:  ICS only,

Experience:   So when i took the custom rocker out to demo, i felt a plethora of emotions. First off, i noticed how solid the board felt under my feet. I felt like i could beat it up, smash it, and it would still ride great. Second i noticed that it carved like a beast down really icy steeps. In the flats i was a little unhappy with it. I prefer to have a softer board for messing around on and despite the Rocked camber, i didn't have that great of a time in the park with it. As for the ICS i did feel the difference between reg bindings so if you have the means to pair EST bindings with it go for it. Even though i didn't have as much fun on it as i had hoped ( i like my rocker boards softer) i still give it 2 thumbs up. If your looking for one board for everything.. its worth riding.

ICS makes it a better board, not less of a board. the ICS is great, but i can understand if you dont have ics bindings! that would suck, if you get this board you get bindings too.

"Quiver Killer" 8/27/2009
Helpful Review?   (2) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2010 Burton Custom V-Rocker
  • Skill:  Intermediate
  • Use:  Boxes,Groomers,Jumps,Powder,Rails
  • Pros:  Great park board, Great all mountain board, Great powder board
  • Cons:  Can be out carved by other boards,

Experience:   Burton Custom V Rocker is a quiver killer. For the last ten years I have had a powder board (Burton Fish, then Burton Malolo) and an every day board. The V Rocker is as fun if not more fun on a 2 foot powder day than the Burton Malolo. Then it carves great on the groomers at any speed and of course it is made for the park. No need for a quiver any more, this is the only board that I tested that I am giving 5 starts too.

"THE Rocker of the year" 8/26/2009
Helpful Review?   (2) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2010 Burton Custom V-Rocker
  • Skill:  Intermediate
  • Use:  Boxes,Groomers,Jumps,Powder,Rails
  • Pros:  Buttery, Pop, Powder float
  • Cons:  really high speeds,

Experience:   The v-rocker is almost like a stiffer version of last years burton hero. The hero was an amazing board for riding park, but the custom rocker brings that same amount of fun to the rest of the mountain. Definitely a single board quiver!

"Do not hesitate; purchase THIS board" 11/4/2009
Helpful Review?   (1) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2010 Burton Custom V-Rocker
  • Skill:  Intermediate
  • Use:  Boxes,Groomers,Jumps,Powder,Rails
  • Pros:  Versatility; stiff but felxible on demand; pop, Board technology; V-Rocker, (I know this will be controversial) Price
  • Cons:  Esthetics; blue strip looks almost turquoise , Could be slightly wider but 257 is sufficient,

Experience:   After having purchased the Vapor, T6 and Custom V-Rocker, the Custom V has by far been the most rewarding purchase as of yet. First, the Vapor isn't really all that light. It is lighter by fractions of a kilogram which isn't all that noticeable in the grand scheme of things. The T6 is great for speed but does not offer much versatility for an intermediate rider looking to do anything more than making sharp turns and racing. The Custom V-Rocker is the better board found in between which provides all of the fun that bombing down the mountain with speed can bring you and more importantly the element of fun do to the playfulness of the V-Rocker. I spent hours and hours trying to find reviews and comparisons of these very functionally different boards and finally decided to just take the plunge and purchase this board. It handles everything. If you are looking for an all mountain board this is by far the only board you should be considering. Don't spend 3-400 on something else, save your lunch money for a few months and put it to good use. The Custom V-Rocker is Food for thought.... Why did I only give it 4 stars? We all can probably agree that previous Burton Custom designs have been much better to say the least. However, it is not like this design is bad, I just don't appreciate my blue stripe looking turquoise. In the grand scheme of things though, I have wayyyy to much fun on this board to care about the tone of a color. Don't let this sway you from a purchase, just being fully honest. Thanks Sierra.

"The Reverse Camber board to own" 10/27/2009
Helpful Review?   (1) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2010 Burton Custom V-Rocker
  • Skill:  Intermediate
  • Use:  Boxes,Groomers,Jumps,Powder,Rails
  • Pros:  Best float out of the reverse camber boards, Easy presses, Switch in pow made easy
  • Cons:  A little wobble at high speed on groomers,

Experience:   I was Lucky enough to have this board on a 3 foot powder day, and it delivered, compared to the other burton boards, the gnu's, the lib-tech's, and the DC's it had considerable more float in the pow, and had a much more solid and responsive feel in the pow, landing switch in the pow is made easy with the v-rocker. Fun in the park too. Best all-around board in the market.

"The Next Level of Anything, Anytime, Anywhere " 11/5/2009
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2010 Burton Custom V-Rocker
  • Skill:  Intermediate
  • Use:  Boxes,Groomers,Jumps,Powder,Rails
  • Pros:  Extremely Lively!!, V-Rocker floats great in the powder!!, Complete balance of flex and pop!!
  • Cons:  Harder to hook off the lip of big jumps vs. camber, They did not make this board sooner,

Experience:   My top pick for boards in 2010. The Custom V-Rocker is extremely playful with a ton of pop in the nose and tail. The directional shaped core and slightly set back stance still has a very twin like flex in the nose and tail. The new tech construction allows the board to hold and edge and be very responsive at high speeds, while still be soft and flexi when jibbing and buttering around. The profiled core between the feet allows the Custom V-Rocker to really lock onto rails, even with the V-Rock at the center of the board. The board has a looseness that is great all over the mountain while it can really hook up and accelerate when laid over. The board is a bit different for spinning off big jumps. It feel like you are always fading off the lip of a jump rather than hooking off your edge. This can be great for small and medium features, but is a bit scary off the big boys. The board is also not my favorite pipe board. This board can do it all and I feel is one of they best boards in all terrain environments.
