One of the biggest issues at resorts these days is having your board swiped. But with this, you can easily lock up your board and not have a worry while you're inside the lodge or at the bar.
Lock it up when boarding in the ghetto. -Ride A Capita
- Clean low profile, easily stores in a pocket.
- 39" (1m) recoiling cable. The combo lock removes and can be used seperately. - You can set your own 3 digit combination to make it easy to remember. - This is the easiest way to lock up your board

Cons: works like junk
Other Thoughts: my 90 year old gramma could break it with her worn down gums for teeth.
6/16/2009 ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Pros: Ok it helps deter thieves from steeling your board
Cons: Its a bulky, plastic piece of crap.
Just like all other ski locks the one can be easily cut or ripped off by a thief.
6/15/2009 ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Pros: Can't think of any
Cons: Far to big and cumbersome
Other Thoughts: I actually looked at this but decided on a Kryponite M1 lock, only about as big as the palm of my hand... not a hassle to carry it about and board hasn't been nicked yet!
5/9/2009 ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Pros: I don't know..
Cons: It's so bulky. I always leave it at home. Hard to use.
Other Thoughts: It's bigger than I Imagined it to be. It's really not worth buying because you don't want to be carrying around something this big if it doesn't get you drunk. I wasted my money..
3/25/2009 ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Pros: None
Cons: crappy and breaks easily
2/24/2009 ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Pros: cheap, light, convenient, does the job
Cons: light weight cable is easily cut.
Other Thoughts: I picked this little lock up on sale and boy is it a good insurance item to have. Sure the cable can be cut, but if you want to steal a board are you going to bother having to whip out your leatherman or are you just going to grab an easy treat.
Also on a totally different note, be careful leaving your board locked up for over one hour in cold snow conditions. I did this while eating lunch and the little combo discs almost froze in place. I could bare get then to spin to my set combination... boy that would have been embarrassing

2/17/2009 ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Pros: It does what it needs to do. I haven't had anything stolen yet.
Cons: Wish the cable was a bit longer as right now I have a bit of trouble trying to secure my board to something.
Other Thoughts: Couldn't someone just unscrew your bindings?
Customer Service: Shipped same day
2/12/2009 ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Pros: So if what you want to do is just lock your board to the rack when you're out riding just for some peace of mind, then this lock will work. It's retractable so the cable won't get all tangled up in your pocket, and it's somewhat easy to use. It also lets you set your own combination (as most of these locks do). The cable length is decent.
Cons: The lock is ginormous. See that little yellow thing in the middle of the "lock"? That part comes out and is the actual mechanism which lets you lock the two ends of the cable together. The rest of it is the giant cable retracting mechanism. The lock doesn't fit comfortably in my pocket and having the lock able to separate from the cable mechanism makes it easy to lose one piece or the other. Having to take out the center lock piece every time I want to lock my board is a big hassle.
Other Thoughts: I actually bought one of the small dakine locks after being dissatisfied with this one. Those are much easier to use, more compact, and don't come in two pieces. Also, I somehow cut myself on the metal portion of the lock so be careful of sharp edges.
1/28/2009 ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Pros: No-one rides with scissors so it's probably safe
Cons: Easy to cut and way too big.
Customer Service: Shipped same day
1/21/2009 ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Pros: Hopefully a lock is enough of a deterrent to thieves that they'll go for someone else's board instead of yours. It's also pretty easy to turn the combo and seems to snap open pretty easily once the combo is in. Easy to adjust the combo and it retracts pretty quick.
Cons: The wire is pretty thin, so it probably could be cut rather easily. It is a bit bigger than it would need to be, but you can still carry it in your pocket without much concern. The biggest problem I have with this lock is that it's hard to detach the actually lock from the casing. Maybe it's just my fat fingers but when it's cold I have a hard time prying the lock from the casting that it snaps into.
Other Thoughts: If someone really wanted your board they could still find a way to get it, but hopefully the lock is enough of a deterrent that somebody else's board is going to be snatched and not yours. This lock is cheap enough thou that why wouldn't you buy one?

1/14/2009 ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Pros: EASY TO CARRY WHILE RIDING, KEEP YOUR BOARD SAFE WHILE HAVING A BREAK!!
1/13/2009 ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Cons: they seem unnecessary for 10 bucks
1/12/2009 ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Pros: Keeps the thiefs away
Cons: NONE
Other Thoughts: If someone is going to take a board they are going to take one that looks natural with them so if there surrounded by a crowd of people (most resorts are crowded) they will take on they can just swipe so YES THIS LOCK DEFINATLY DOES ITS JOB
1/6/2009 ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Pros: Locks keep most thieves away.
Cons: This lock isn't too tough and could easily be cut with scissors if a thief really wanted to get at your board. Just hope he goes for the unlocked one right next to it.

1/3/2009 ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Pros: Locked boards may theives confused and their tummies hurt.
Cons: If your setup is worth more than a G, i would not lock it with this.
Can be cut with a scissor, let alone wire cutters.
Other Thoughts: If you need something cheap to prevent thieves, i would suggest one of these.
Quality is subpar, but it is portable and lightweight.
Customer Service: Shipped same day
12/27/2008 ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Pros: The cable is long enough to protect three boards at a time! I personally only lock up my board long enough to grab a beer, or hit the toilet. I sincerely doubt anyone would have the time, or the balls to try and break a lock when they could swipe one that has no lock at all.
Cons: Pretty big and cumbersome.
Other Thoughts: No matter how it looks, it does it's job. I'd rather have a big ugly lock on my board than no board at all. Be smart, buy one now!

12/13/2008 ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Pros: keeps the thieves away. if they want it they'll take it but i'm sure they'd find one that isn't lock up.
Cons: easy to break

12/10/2008 ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Pros: Fairly light...
Long enough to go through bindings and rack
Three number changable combo
Cons: A little bulky
Lock is stiff at first but ok once you get the hang of it
Other Thoughts: This is not a lock that you should use to leave your board out overnight...it is made to stop someone from just walking by and ruining your day or trip.
11/30/2008 ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Pros: Compact and light
Cons: Serious thief could cut it easily
Customer Service: Shipped same day, Members/Staff were helpful
10/28/2008 ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Pros: Does its job..used it to lock up both mine and my friends board
Cons: don't like the plastic
Other Thoughts: Agree with Aprilbear...its better then nothing!!
10/25/2008 ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Pros: Lock your board up with this lock, it does its job and keeps your board safe
Cons: big and kind of impractical, retracts slow sometimes
8/31/2008 ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Pros: zero
!!!!!
Cons: this lock is soooo bad my friend is like ya this lock suks and i said no way b/c its made by burton so he took a scissor and said ill bet u $5 i could cut it and i lost $5 b/c this lock suks!!
8/30/2008 ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Pros: keeps your board safe
Cons: plastic
3/25/2008 ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Pros: none, really
Cons: -its big (3.25 in diameter)
- impractical - why have a lock that depends on its plastic holder?
- its better to find a lock that has an integrated cable. those are definitely more compact and feasible. this is the strangest lock design i've ever seen
- costs waaaay more than its worth, even on sale at $8.98
Other Thoughts: the yellow padlock fits into the plastic holder when not in use. otherwise, you'll have the yellow padlock connected to the two cables, which stick out of the plastic holder, which just dangles around looking out of place
1/29/2008 ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Pros: my brother's brand new board just got stolen...so get one of these
Cons: there is no cons...it's always better than nothing
1/28/2008 ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Pros: If you one of those riders who is paranoid somone will steal your board, your board has been stolen before, or you jest rather play it safe, then you need a board lock! This lock has a combo of three numbers. Easy to remember.
Cons: Plastic design. If someone really wanted your board bad enough they could just break it with a hammer or something (extremely, outrageously unlikely).
Other Thoughts: Then again, if someone really wanted to steal a snowboard and they saw one locked up, they would just pick another one.
