Sierra Says: The Blunt is all about park progression, intended to promote you from progression park weenie to big league slugger in no time. This entire board is outfitted for freestyle triumph, from the Cruise Control Tech to the V-Rocker, the Rail Ready tune to the Negative Core Profile. We recommend this one for the guy with one thing on the mind- conquering every park feature in sight.

Burton Says: You've burned out the slow-mo button analyzing every trick, yet you're still batting in the minors? Maybe it's not you, but the board you're riding. Giving up-and-coming shreds the ultimate upper hand, the Blunt gets the trick-landing combo of V-Rocker and Cruise Control. Effortless to ride thanks to its triple rocker design and edges that are turned up and de-tuned, the Blunt is easy to press and control, load... More ›

"Great" 1/21/2010
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2010 Burton Blunt
  • Skill:  Beginner
  • Use:  Park,Powder
  • Pros:  Easy to control, Easy to learn on,
  • Cons:  High speed wobbles,

Experience:   I bought this board to learn on, and I was able to pick up every aspect of snowboarding in just a few weeks. The board was very easy to control. The only complaint, which seems to be popular, is you can't blast down the mountain without the board wobbling.

"Progression park board of the year?" 1/17/2010
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2010 Burton Blunt
  • Skill:  Beginner
  • Use:  Groomed,Low Speeds,Park,Switch Riding,Ungroomed
  • Pros:  rocks the park, easy to learn on, especially with the new vrocker, rails, small jumps, boxes
  • Cons:  high speeds, top sheet is ugly,

Experience:   Board was stable until I tried blasting down the mountain with friends, then it got a little sketchy. In the park the board is a dream. Great beginner board (Im not a beginner)that wont break the bank. You wont need a new board for a while because this board can handle anything you throw at it. Made to learn on and progress on. Great board

"it's THE SEX" 1/15/2010
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2010 Burton Blunt
  • Skill:  Intermediate
  • Use:  Butters,Jibs,Jumps,Low Speeds,Switch Riding
  • Pros:  Super Smooth, Never Catch an Edge, Super Poppy
  • Cons:  Speed Wobbles,

Experience:   I had previously owned a no name board with cheap a** bindings, and when I made the switch to this, it was like night and day. Suddenly, the sky seemed bluer, the powder seemed softer, and the sky seemed the limit. I get so much pop off hits and its super smooth down the mountain. BUT like everyone else has said, it gets the speed wobbles real bad. Don't get me wrong, you can bomb with the best of them, but it can get sketchy when you push the limits. If you're looking for a super style-y ride down the mountain, then this is the board for you. It's THE SEX

"blunnnnnttttt!" 12/30/2009
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2010 Burton Blunt
  • Skill:  Intermediate
  • Use:  Butters,Groomed,Jibs,Jumps,Low Speeds,Switch Riding
  • Pros:  holds and edge good, awesome looking graphic, very soft
  • Cons:  top sheet scratches easy,

Experience:   I really like the look of this board, and even though it's a park board I think its a great all mountain board. To the begginers, this is a great starting board because its supper soft, and on the cheaper side. But can be a great park board for any level. Just not really good at high speeds... then everything get shaky.

"Feels like a good day of street skating" 12/20/2009
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2010 Burton Blunt
  • Skill:  Intermediate
  • Use:  Boxes,Jumps,Rails
  • Pros:  Price, Very forgiving, Stable
  • Cons:  Harder to carve, Sucky graphics,

Experience:   I started this year riding a 2009 Operator wide but after trying a Joystick at Burton demo days I fell in love with the loose v-rocker feel. Since I couldnt afford a whole new est board + binding setup I went for the Blunt 162 wide with my current bindings (customs). This was by far the most comfortable I have felt on a new board the first day out! While I appreciate the edge hold and precision of the Operator, the Blunt really feels like a good day of street skating. Loose, all about the fun, highly recommended!
