Sierra Says: The Blunt is all about park progression, intended to promote you from progression park weenie to big league slugger in no time. This entire board is outfitted for freestyle triumph, from the Cruise Control Tech to the V-Rocker, the Rail Ready tune to the Negative Core Profile. We recommend this one for the guy with one thing on the mind- conquering every park feature in sight.

Burton Says: You've burned out the slow-mo button analyzing every trick, yet you're still batting in the minors? Maybe it's not you, but the board you're riding. Giving up-and-coming shreds the ultimate upper hand, the Blunt gets the trick-landing combo of V-Rocker and Cruise Control. Effortless to ride thanks to its triple rocker design and edges that are turned up and de-tuned, the Blunt is easy to press and control, loaded with pop, and virtually impossible to catch an edge on.

"Let me blunt about the Blunt" 10/13/2009
Helpful Review?   (1) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2009 Burton Blunt
  • Skill:  Beginner
  • Use:  Boxes,Groomers,Jumps,Powder,Rails
  • Pros:  great for park beginner board, light weight, easy on the wallet and easy to find
  • Cons:  not very forgiving, a bit sloppy,

Experience:   If you are new to the park, and not really sure where to start, this board is great for you. It comes in lots of sizes and colors, and almost every shop has at least a handful of them, so they are easy to find. However, I will say they are definitely beginner boards, as they don't seem to hold up well in high impact situations. I was not very impressed with this board as far as lines are concerned. On a consistent basis, I found the board was way too responsive to the terrain, and not nearly enough to me. Thus, it made it a little more difficult to really set up lines in the park as well as out in the natural park such as the glades. Overall, I would recommend this board to someone new to the park. As they are going to spend a lot of time doing small quick lines rather than long flowing runs. Also, on a final note, I would like to add, that the board was nearly flawless for jumps and boxes.

"great board" 10/6/2009
Helpful Review?   (1) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2009 Burton Blunt
  • Skill:  Intermediate
  • Use:  Boxes,Groomers,Jumps,Powder,Rails
  • Pros:  soft flex, durable, lightweight

Experience:   A great park board for the money. It is super soft making it easy for jibs. Not very good for all mountain or pipe riding. It is very durable and needs little to no maintanance. It can be ridden by a beginner to an advanced rider.
