This ski is very wide (115mm waist) and has no camber. The Dynastar Huge Trouble however does have a conventional sidecut and is not rockered. This combination makes this ski effortless in any type of deep snow. The Huge Trouble is also a full twin meaning that it has matching tip and tail height and a typical long tip and tail splay. The resulting short running surface for its given 185 length makes it very maneuverable in trees and tight spots. Like many very wide skis of conventional shape, the Huge Trouble (can) carve a turn on groomers and is reasonably skiable outside of the powder. In fact I noticed that it skis like a normal ski and had surprising edge grip considering what it is. Still, for all it’s maneuverability in deep stuff, it takes a loooong time to go from one edge to the other and it’s a pretty cumbersome ride when compared to 50/50 and many Big Mountain skis. I classify the flex of the Dynastar Huge Trouble as medium and it punches crud very well and certainly better than many very soft powder skis. While not the equal of some of the rockered, and reverse sidecut skis in the deepest snow, the Huge Trouble is more versatile than those skis when outside of the powder.
