Sierra Says: A great all around binding, the Mission is perfect for anybody who wants a great binding without spending a grip of cash. Both oddly strong and super comfortable, this binding can be enjoyed by just about any level of rider.

Burton Says: Tricks stomped, mission accomplished. A no nonsense destroyer, the Mission is for the shredder who's riding whatever, whenever - instead of working overtime to buy some blinged out binding. While the competition's crying "uncle," the Mission keeps dropping hammers with premium performance at PBR prices. With the forget-it's-there fit of the Team Skyback and new Superstrap - get the freedom to float, spin, and stomp; with the comfort to lap the lifts 'til last call.

Straps: decent
Juicy Sweet... Juicy Sweet
Terrain Use: Jumps, Boxes and Rails, Speed, Carving, Groomers, All Mountain
Pros: Adjustability, Easy in & out, Good construction quality, Comfortable, Well known brand, Easy installation
Other Thoughts: I have a size 10 thirty two boot and the large is great on it. If you dont adjust it, the binding will slip off the boot, but this binding has unlimited adjustments to make it fit for your boot and style. The wtf color is perfect with my forum substance board and stands out among the rest. Awsome bindings for 160 bucks and even better for 90

Fit: fits fine
Width: fits fine
Straps: super comfy
Great Binding
Pros: Comfortable, Well known brand, Popular model
Other Thoughts: i have the 08 poncho villa print version, with the p1 capstrap and cartel ankle strap - (was given them by a friend who had never used them) - and couldn't be happier. They fit perfectly with my DC Balance boots (no slippage), and have just the right flex for wherever you need to go on the mountain - responsive enough for hard turns, but soft enough that park riding remains fun...great allround binding for a great price - (free in my case :P) but when i need to upgrade i will be moving towards these again.

Good deal.
Terrain Use: Jumps, Speed, Powder, Carving, Backcountry, All Mountain
Pros: Adjustability, Easy in & out, Comfortable, Well known brand, Easy installation
Other Thoughts: I like this binding. I've used it in the deepest and the iciest stuff, and I've only found one problem. My clip came off mid-run, and it had me searching to find a new screw to replace it. As long as you tighten everything each day, it'll be worth it!

Bang for Buck
Pros: Adjustability, Easy in & out, Boot hold, Durable, Good construction quality, Comfortable, Well known brand, Easy installation
Other Thoughts: Bought after getting some good advice in store, plus sweet combo of Angry Artist colours with my board. I wear size 11 Burton boots and there is still some extra width, not not too much so that the cap straps can't keep me in position.

Good For Price...
Terrain Use: All Mountain
Pros: Easy installation
Cons: Difficult in & out, Boot slippage
Other Thoughts: Rode these with ThirtyTwo Prions. Had these for a day and the toe strap just kept slippnig out which is a bother when you're bombing down the slopes. They felt alright otherwise, but I needed stiffer bindings and didn't like the slippage so swapped these for Triads.

Good Enough For...
Pros: Lightweight, Comfortable, Well known brand, Popular model, Easy installation
Other Thoughts: Guess What? Chas Gouldaman, who is a professional snowboarder for DC (just won the US Open) rides the Burton Mission Binding. If they are good enough for Chas, they are good enough for all of us!

sick bindings definatly worth the money
Terrain Use: Half Pipe, Jumps, Boxes and Rails, Speed, Powder, Carving, Groomers, All Mountain
Pros: Durable, Good construction quality, Lightweight, Comfortable
Cons: Poor adjustability
Other Thoughts: Even though the adjustability is bad the bindins make up for it, they are lightweight, and super comfy. they are worth the money, better than ride bindings and a lot of other binders that cost the same price.

Solid Binding...
Terrain Use: Jumps, Boxes and Rails, Powder, All Mountain
Pros: Adjustability, Easy in & out, Boot hold, Good construction quality, Well known brand, Easy installation
Other Thoughts: These bindings held up great. I used with Burton Hail boots. My feet did get a bit uncomfortable at times. Don't know whether it was the bindings or boots, but overall were comfortable.

4/3/2009

Fit: must be adjusted bigger
Width: too narrow
Straps: decent
missions are ok for the money
Terrain Use: Speed, Carving, Groomers, All Mountain
Pros: Good construction quality, Lightweight, Comfortable, Easy installation
Cons: Difficult in & out
Other Thoughts: Picked these up when on sale. So cannot complain too much since the price was good. Overall good binding but toe slips out of toe cap on 50% of runs. I am size 9.5 with burton hails and I JUST fit into these. Have to adjust to accommodate larger boot. Enjoying some good riding with these new bindings though.

Good simple bindings.
Terrain Use: Half Pipe, Jumps, Boxes and Rails, Powder, Groomers
Pros: Adjustability, Boot hold, Lightweight
Cons: Poor adjustability
Other Thoughts: If you are looking for a simple binding that gets the job done, this is definitely it. I like the fact that that aren't very stiff for hitting the park, yet they are stiff enough that you won't kill your legs in powder. The only thing I wish these had was a better adjustment system for the straps. I love the quick adjust on Rome straps. These ones you have to actually unscrew the strap and switch to a different hole. Just a small little issue.

Terrain Use: All Mountain
Pros: Adjustability, Easy in & out, Good construction quality, Lightweight, Well known brand, Popular model, Easy installation
Other Thoughts: If you're a size 10, don't get the medium sized bindings as you'll be on the last notch on the strap. Go for the large size, you'll be happy you did.

Not bad but wouldn't buy again
Terrain Use: All Mountain
Cons: Poor adjustability, Boot slippage
Other Thoughts: I rode this binding last season. Overall for the price not a bad binding but I found I was always having problems with the highbacks. The sideways adjustability would loosen after a few hours of riding meaning frequent stops to readjust. Other than that no problems, pretty solidly constructed.

Other Thoughts: love these bindings!! One of the straps lost a screw and i was done for the night, but I called burton up and they sent me replacements for free. Great Bindings
Pros: Lightweight, Comfortable, Well known brand, Popular model, Easy installation
Other Thoughts: Great bindings except one of the plastic straps on the toe broke but luckily they had replacements on the mountain since the shop at Northstar is sponsored by Burton Even though the toe strap was broken I was still was able to ride down the mountain on advanced slopes and through powder in the trees with no problem. Almost couldn't tell it was broken.

Pros: Adjustability, Easy in & out, Durable, Good construction quality, Well known brand, Popular model, Easy installation

Terrain Use: Jumps, Boxes and Rails, All Mountain
Pros: Easy in & out, Good construction quality, Lightweight, Comfortable, Well known brand, Popular model, Easy installation

I'm on a mission from God.-Blues Bros.
Terrain Use: Jumps, Boxes and Rails, Powder, Carving, Groomers, All Mountain
Pros: Adjustability, Easy in & out, Durable, Lightweight, Comfortable, Well known brand
Cons: Boot slippage
Other Thoughts: I really like my Missions, my 1st pair of bindings with the capstraps. They look amazing (I have the Brown w/ plaid toe Caps). As far as having capstraps, I dont notice a huge difference, and it sometimes slipped a little, but overall some of the best bindings I have ever ridden. I am considering buying the Yellow/blue ones because they look sick!

3/3/2009

Fit: must be adjusted smaller
Width: fits fine
Straps: decent
good bindings
Other Thoughts: I learned on a friends bindings that were a bit too big but when I got mine that were for my foot size they seemed a little too small. They're really good overall though

Awesome Bindings
Terrain Use: Jumps, Speed, Powder, Carving, All Mountain
Pros: Adjustability, Boot hold, Durable, Good construction quality, Lightweight, Well known brand
Cons: Boot slippage
Other Thoughts: Overall, a great binding for the price. I picked these up about a year ago and they have been my go to binding since. The only complaint i have is that sometimes the ratchet comes lose at the end of the run and you need to crank it down again. But they're durable and the boot hold provides great control for carving.

the Mission? Yes please!!
Terrain Use: Speed, Powder, Carving, All Mountain
Pros: Adjustability, Good construction quality, Comfortable, Well known brand
Cons: Boot slippage
Other Thoughts: The absolute best part of these bindings is the adjustability. I mean you can fine tweak everything from the strap lengths to the placement of the straps. Very solid construction. My only issue was that after a few runs i noticed my boot slipped or the strap loosened up. I think it might be more because i didn't adjust the toecap properly but still a very sick product. Spend the few extra bucks and get these over the Burton Custom or Freestyle.

Terrain Use: Speed, Powder, Carving, All Mountain
Pros: Adjustability, Easy in & out, Boot hold, Durable, Good construction quality, Lightweight, Comfortable, Well known brand, Popular model, Easy installation

Great bindings for the price
Terrain Use: Powder, Carving
Pros: Adjustability, Boot hold, Good construction quality, Comfortable, Well known brand, Popular model, Easy installation
Cons: Difficult in & out
Other Thoughts: I bought small because I'm a girl and the size chart says it'll fit up to women's boot 9 I have a sz 8 and the bindings barely fit I was really scared when I was adjusting that it would not fit - thank goodness they fitted at practically the last notch of everything (biggest) So my suggestion that is if you have a sz9 and up, definitely get medium. Otherwise, the boots are light, highly adjustable and theyre comfy. Can't wait to bring them up the mountains this weekend!

Other Thoughts: Alright bindings not light but not heavy but be careful of your highbacks breaking it's pretty common with these.

Ratchets are smooth as butter
Terrain Use: Jumps, Boxes and Rails, Speed, Powder, Carving, Backcountry, Groomers, All Mountain
Pros: Adjustability, Easy in & out, Boot hold, Durable, Good construction quality, Lightweight, Comfortable, Well known brand, Popular model, Easy installation
Other Thoughts: Some of the most well known bindings out there for a good reason. They're lightweight making them good in the park. They're plenty adjustable minus an adjustable heelcup, and they've also got great support too. The ratchets are really nice, very smooth and you can get them as tight as you want. Easy off too, they don't stick when I try to pull them off like Ride bindings. The size large in these run wider than Ride also which I needed. Make sure all the screws are tight before going out, my first time using them one of the screws on my toestrap came off while riding. Luckily I found it just up the hill a bit. Great bingings!

Great Value Snowboard Bindings
Terrain Use: Jumps, Boxes and Rails, Speed, Backcountry, Groomers, All Mountain
Pros: Boot hold, Durable, Lightweight, Well known brand, Popular model
Other Thoughts: Great value. The bindings are comfortable, but the straps could use better padding. Lightweight, and easily adjustable. Overall, I think the Burton Mission is replacing the Burton Custom as the most popular, but minimum standard for bindings. If you want the best bang for your buck, this is it.

Burton MIssions
Terrain Use: Jumps, Boxes and Rails, Powder, Groomers
Pros: Adjustability, Boot hold, Comfortable
Other Thoughts: Overall a good binding. I did have some minor problems, however, such as a bolt coming lose every couple a days riding, and my toe strap frayed pretty bad. But for the price this is a great binding with great feel and decent felxibility

Other Thoughts: I got the "Angry Artist" one and it's just burning hot! I got size M, and I had to adjust the length to be bigger so that the fronts of my boots don't hang out. I'm wearing size 8.5 Forum boots.

Great Binding. Great Value
Terrain Use: Half Pipe, Jumps, Boxes and Rails, Speed, Powder, Carving, Backcountry, Groomers, All Mountain
Pros: Adjustability, Easy in & out, Boot hold, Durable, Good construction quality, Lightweight, Comfortable, Well known brand, Popular model, Easy installation
Other Thoughts: Love this binding. Great Value. I got off Sierra 40% off and it has performed as well as anything I've ever ridden. I wear a 10.5 and wish I would have bought a medium instead of a large as I am the smallest size on the large scale and wear a less bulky boot.

Great Binder, Great price
Terrain Use: Jumps, Boxes and Rails, Speed, Carving
Pros: Adjustability, Easy in & out, Boot hold, Lightweight, Well known brand
Cons: Difficult in & out
Other Thoughts: I bought this binder last year after riding a pair of Ride RX's. I thought I was going down in quality since the Missions were slightly less expensive. i was wrong. The missions are great. They are easily adjustible, soft, and REAL lightweight. My old ones had a metal heal cup, which was great for stiffness, but it sucked for weight and was a bit stuff for the park. The graphics are sick too. The only problem I have had is that the clamps aren't the strongest. But that is only when i am cranking them down, they don't slip once clamped.

Great bindings
Terrain Use: Jumps, Boxes and Rails, Speed, Groomers, All Mountain
Pros: Easy in & out, Boot hold, Durable, Lightweight, Well known brand, Popular model, Easy installation
Other Thoughts: They are super light, just as light as the Cartel's, which are way more expensive, amazing boot hold, and excellent responsiveness from the highbacks.

Better than the Custom's
Terrain Use: All Mountain
Other Thoughts: These are the bindings I used all last year after I broke my customs and bought these from a friend. He kind of rigged them up between two sets of missions but they're still great. I ride a lot of park and very little backcountry and groomers, and these have been holding strong. Good idea to buy a second pair, maybe I will.

Burton Mission Review
Terrain Use: Boxes and Rails
Pros: Adjustability, Boot hold, Durable, Lightweight, Comfortable, Well known brand, Popular model
Other Thoughts: was surprised about this binding after using the burton custom for a little bit (hated the custom binding). i experienced no slippage and the cap held really well. very comfortable binding that is light and feels like your one with the board. 91 out of 100. spend an extra 20 bucks for the mission if your considereing the custom as well. youll thank yourself later.

Burton Bindings FTW
Terrain Use: Jumps, Boxes and Rails, Speed, Powder, Carving, Backcountry, Groomers, All Mountain
Pros: Adjustability, Easy in & out, Boot hold, Durable, Good construction quality, Lightweight, Comfortable, Well known brand, Popular model, Easy installation
Other Thoughts: I am completely sold on burton binding. Probably will never ride another binding brand again. Super comfortable and responsive. The most adjustable bindings I've owned. Gives you great adjustability so you can strap in snuggly where some other brands will just squeeze the top and toes of your boot. It is one of burton lower end models but don't let that fool you. Superb quality and more responsive than the some higher end models from other brands.

nice stiff highback
Terrain Use: Jumps, Boxes and Rails, Speed, Powder, Carving
Pros: Boot hold, Durable, Good construction quality, Well known brand, Popular model
Cons: Poor adjustability, Uncomfortable
Other Thoughts: This binding is real stiff and gives tons of control. However, it does sacrifice some comfort for that additional control. I'm personally used to a much more adjustable binding, and although this has a lot of adjustment (after all it is a Burton binding), it's not as nice as the Burton P1s that I regularly use. However, these bindings are pretty affordable and I always see them on sale.

Great Binding for the money
Terrain Use: Carving, Groomers
Pros: Easy in & out, Durable, Lightweight, Comfortable, Well known brand, Easy installation
Other Thoughts: For the price, they are ultra comfortable. The toe strap puts absolutely NO pressure on the toes. the top strap has a gel insert so its super comfortable as well. i wear a size 9 boot, so im pretty much right in between the medium and large, but opted to get the large. After adjusting the straps, i have to ratchet pretty much all the way down to the end but it fits snug and I couldn't be happier!

burton missions m
Terrain Use: Half Pipe, Jumps, Boxes and Rails, Powder, Backcountry, All Mountain
Pros: Adjustability, Easy in & out, Boot hold, Durable, Comfortable, Well known brand, Popular model, Easy installation
Other Thoughts: i own the 09 buton misiions size medium which should fit boots size 10, i also own the 09 rome libertine size 9 and even tough teyre a 9 they barely fit into the m bindings which are maxed out/

Great Quality, Great Price
Terrain Use: Half Pipe, Jumps, Boxes and Rails, Speed, Powder, Carving, Backcountry, Groomers, All Mountain
Pros: Adjustability, Boot hold, Durable, Lightweight, Comfortable, Well known brand
Cons: Difficult in & out
Other Thoughts: I really like these bindings, they seem to have a full range of adjustments. Pretty much padded all the way around so it makes them very comfortable. I'm not a big fan of the Burton Base plate that comes with these otherwise the bindings themselves are fine especially for the $$$.
