Burton Lexa Womens Snowboard Bindings
Item # : 204418 |
Year : 2009
Sierra Says: Similar to the 2008 Escapade, the new Lexa is a freestyle powerhouse. Built tougher and more comfortable than last year, female riders will be shocked how the Lexa feels and performs. Add some Lexas to your cart if you need an outstanding binding to bring you to the top.
Burton Says: The freestyle firecracker. Don't just raise the bar, re-invent it. An entirely new animal, the Lexa has been redesigned with a focus on hard-charging freestyle. The calf-hugging canted Living Hinge hi-back offers an anatomically precise connection for uninterrupted flow, while the new slimmed down Ultra Capstrap rides like the most responsive strap you'll ever forget you're wearing. One run and you'll realize why this is the binding ridden by more pros, regardless of who's paying them, than any other. Terrain Uses

Pros: Durable, Lightweight, Comfortable, Well known brand, Popular model
Cons: Poor adjustability, Boot slippage
Other Thoughts: As the one who has to tune the setups in the house, I can tell you these bindings have been my nemesis. My girlfriend rides these, and we've had nothing but problems with them. If matched with the right boot I think they might work better, but unless you're on burton boots (which my girlfriend doesn't like) you're going to have problems.
The tool-less clips for the straps will work themselves loose, leaving your straps flopping around or worse. The toe-cup is shaped specifically for the boxy style of the toe on burton boots, so older boots or non-burton boots will not get a good hold. Obviously this can cause some big problems.
Burton says they've been totally redesigned this year - so maybe this year's model will fix some of those problems. Definately go over these with a fine tooth comb though.
