Burton Fix ICS Snowboard
Item # : SS40205 |
Year : 2009
Sierra says: "Riding the park just got easier with the new Fix. Designed to be beaten up and take abuse on even the toughest landings or jib hits, this board is here to stay. Progress your skills or perfect them; the shape, flex and design of the Fix make it the epiphany of a durable park board. Don?t worry about your board... just worry about yourself."
Burton says: Getting this high in the park should be illegal. The new Fix rides like you just popped the park's ultimate performance-enhancing pill. Extra strength Park Edges are built for abuse and Rail Ready for sliding without hang-ups. If the soft flex, twin tips, and added stability of the mid wide shape don?t satisfy - check the new Scoop convex nose and tail geometry, which make it even easier to butter, bonk, and ride away from those sketch take-offs and landings. Burton Fix ICS Snowboard Reviews (4 total)12/20/2008 Graphics: simple and clean
Award Nominations: Best Jibstick Board

Pros: Durable, Easy to carve, Soft, Well known brand
Cons: Too soft
Other Thoughts: It is a hella fun ride. Total noodle so watch out (3 on the burton flex). But it was super fun. Way easy to butter, press, nollie, ollie, etc the coolest thing was that in the pow or on the sides of trails where you typically carve up a wall, there was this torsional give between the tip and tail that felt a lot like surfing. A lot like surfing, slashing a face or carving the wave. A few times I was pointing down the trail popping a wheelie the wholeway.
I wish I spent more time flatlanding with it, but the group that I rode with was all bout speed! It held an edge decently as you would expect for a park board, but it does not like ice, LOL.
All in all pretty friggin fun. If I can steal a 162 for Utah, that's what I'll ride.

Cons: Heavy
Other Thoughts: the board is a great board love the zero camber...... IT DOES ACTUALLY PERFORM IN POW..... this is supprising but it does float decently.... and with the channel you can set yourself back on the board anyway..... nice soft board... yet to catch on edge on a rail.... only thing i dont like is the colors..... i wish the 152 came in the black and blue not pink
8/8/2008 ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Pros: The spoon tip and tail make buttering easy, but still holds an edge well. Zero camber is also fun. The board did well off kickers.
Cons: Didn't try it in powder, but I assume it will sink like a rock.
