Burton Chopper Youth Snowboard
Item # : SS40320 |
Year : 2009
Sierra says: A very easy board for the beginning newcomers to ride. With the New Easy Rider technology the Chopper makes turning easier than ever because of the lack of camber. Not having camber makes it so the board is not overly responsive. This board will help the youngsters who are new or are unable to grasp the techniques to snowboarding and make them excel rapidly.
Burton says:Starting kids on skis is child abuse. Instead of wasting money on ski lessons, only to have junior inevitably switch to shredding, get 'em hooked from day one with the totally redesigned Chopper. Scrapping all concepts of how a beginner to intermediate board should ride, we worked with our own kids to develop the new Easy Rider technology. Go ahead, flex it... nice and soft. Camber? Gone, kids turn easier without it. Even the edges are turned up to make turning and stopping simple. Terrain Uses

Other Thoughts: the Burton representative that that gave a clinic to the shop that i work at said that all the product managers at Burton have started having kids so now they have the most kickass gear for kids on the market.
the chopper's base is angled so that it easily rolls on edge for kids just learning to board. It is also incredibly soft and forgving. remember starting kids out on skis is child abuse.
