Other Thoughts: The admiral jacket by 686 is a good jacket for many reasons. It has great waterproofing and breathability ratings and will withstand harsh weather conditions. It will also provide you with enough warmth to keep you feeling toasty even on the stormy days. I really like the double layer zip in/out midlayer jacket that it comes with so that I can add it to the jacket if I start to feel a little chilly or take it out if it gets too warm. Even being the heavy duty and durable jacket that it is, I thought that it was still comfortable enough to move around in and it didn't feel too tight anywhere. It also had a good long length that I usually prefer, especially when riding in powder. The only thing that I wasn't too much of a fan of was the buckle up design on the front of the jacket, because I don't have too much patience when it comes to getting buttoned up and it did take a little extra time to get it all set and good to go. Other than that I think it's a very good jacket to choose.
