- New E.S.T. Baseplate
- Short-Glass Fiber/Nylon Composite Baseplates - Canted Living Hinge Hi-Backs - B3 Gel Heel Cushioning - Super Capstrap - Stainless Steel, Dual Component Smooth Glide Buckles - Response: 6 Sierra Says: After being foiled by technological limitations and an ugly demise, baseless bindings are back! Based on Burton's new Triad binding (with a nice upgrade to the new Superstrap II ankle strap), the EST binding combines elements of Capita's Freedom Groove, Forum's I-Lock, and the baseless binding craey of the mid-90's to provide a whole new level of stance customization and board feel. If you buy one of the boards equipped with Burton's new ICS (Infinite Channel System), you will be doing yourself a grave disservice not buying these bindings and getting the most out of your investment. Welcome to a world of infinite possibilities. Note: These bindings are only compatible with Burton ICS boards (the Jeremy Jones, the Uninc, and the X8). Do NOT buy these bindings unless you own or plan on owning one of these boards. Burton Says: With the NEW EST infinite stance options are only the beginning. The real story lies beneath your boots. Standard baseplates mute board feel and flex, and limit cushioning. With EST you get it all. A smoother ride, a more sensitive connection and a truer flex pattern. React quicker, ride with more speed and control through rough terrain and butter das muffin with newfound precision. You and your board become one.
